 A self-defense campaign was organized for the students of the Department of Fashion Designing

and Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, initiated by ‘Pink Shield’ by Lubaina Kalari Sangam on

11/01/2018.

 Principal Investigator for a funded project of Khadi Bhavan, Ernakulam in the year 2016 and

2018. A Collection of garments were designed and made using Khadi fabric and presented it as a

fashion show. The ultimate aim is to provide awareness about the unlimited possibilities of Khadi

fabric and encouraging the public to use Khadi fabric and there by uplifting the Khadi

Artisans

 Organized a talk on ‘Cyber Crime’ by Yatheesh Chandra, DCP, Department of Police, Kerala

 Conducted workshop on Pattern Making organized by Chavara Cultural Centre for the tailors of Chavara, Allapuzha.

 Organized a talk on ‘Portfolio making’ by Mr.Jobin Joy, Head Designer, Budha 21, Kochi

 Conducted a training programme on Advanced Pattern Making techniques for the small scale

women entrepreneurs, organized by the KVMS Women’s wing, Karuvelipady, Kochi in

February, 2015.

 Conducted Workshop on Batik and Tie and Dye for the NSS volunteers organized by NSS Camp,

St. Teresa’s College in the year 2015.

 Conducted a training programme on up cycled cloth bags and pouches for the master trainers’

College :- ‘Green is God’ and ‘Kaleidoscope’, at St.Teresa’s College, Ernakulam, ‘It’s about us’

at Women’s Association Hall, Ernakulam, ‘Anecdot’ at Lions Club, Ernakulam, and an Exhibition

cum sale at Oberon Mall, Kochi.

 Conducted a workshop on advanced pattern making for the local tailors of Ernakulam District

organized by Kerala Tailors Association, Kochi.

 Conducted Workshop on Paper Jewellery, organized by Women’s Cell, St.Teresa’s College,

Ernakulam

 Principal Investigator for a funded project of Gandhi Smaraka Grama Seva Kendra, Cherthala and

Khadi Board in the year 2008 – 2009. A Collection of garments were designed and constructed

using Khadi materials, mainly focusing the European Market . The purpose of the project was to

give awareness about the possibility of Handloom materials in Fashion Industry and also uplifting

the self-help groups under Gandhi Smaraka Grama Seva Kendra by providing design ideas and

technical support. The garments were exhibited in 3 days as fashion shows at Manorama Fiesta,

Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi, which evoked a good response and appreciation from the

general public, Gandhi Smaraka Grama Seva Kendra, and Khadi Board.
