Mr made a statement in relation to the flooding of the Campbelltown outlet of Disability Services Australia and its subsequent evacuation.

Mrs Barbara Perry also addressed the House.

Final Report of the Dental Board of New South Wales for the nine month period ended 30 June 2010, accompanied by a statement of reasons for late tabling.

Report on the Review of the Exemption for Private Gaming Rooms under the Smoke-free Environment Act 2000.

(2) Mr Adrian Piccoli tabled the report of the Department of Education and Training for 2010.

(3) Mr Mike Baird tabled:

Half Yearly Reports for the period ended 31 December 2010 of – Country Energy; Eraring Energy; Integral Energy; EnergyAustralia; Delta Electricity; Macquarie Generation; and TransGrid.

The Clerk announced that the following members had each lodged petitions for presentation:

Ms Clover Moore—from certain citizens requesting the removal of the clearway on Oxford Street and the imposition of a 40kph speed limit in Oxford Street, Paddington.

Ms Clover Moore—from certain citizens requesting increased mental health support for people with mental illness who are tenants of Housing NSW and Community Housing.

That this House:

(1) Notes that the Premier has repeatedly misled the nurses, police and teachers of New South Wales regarding his intention to strip away their protections.

(2) Notes that the Premier continues to mislead these and other vital public servants as he quietly continues his attack on their wages and conditions.

(3) Condemns the Premier for new lows of duplicity that bring shame to this House.

Question—That the motion of the member for Tweed be accorded priority—put and passed.

12 MOTION ACCORDED PRIORITY—CLUBS INDUSTRY

Mr Geoff Provest moved, pursuant to notice, That this House:

(1) Notes that today is the deadline date Federal independent Andrew Wilkie gave the Prime Minister to introduce a poker machine pre-commitment scheme or risk losing his support for her minority government.

(2) Calls on the Prime Minister to abandon her deal with Mr Wilkie which will harm New South Wales clubs.

(3) Calls on the Leader of the Opposition to tell the people of New South Wales whether he supports a mandatory or voluntary pre-commitment system.

Upon which Mr moved, That the motion be amended by leaving out all words after “That” with a view to inserting instead:

“this House notes:

(1) That after 16 years in opposition, the Government refuses to debate state issues and considers itself an arm of the Federal Opposition, and not the Government of this State.

(2) That this is the second time this week that the Government has moved a motion to be accorded priority to debate a federal issue.

(3) That the alternative motion before the House dealt with important State Government issues such as conditions for police, teachers and nurses.”

Question proposed—That the words proposed to be left out stand.
