Itinerary 6 – 10 July 2020 Day 1 Mon 6th July Home / Blue Mountains [In-Flight Meals/L/D] Upon arrival at Brisbane Domestic Airport this morning, meet your fellow travellers as we join for our flight to Sydney. On arrival in Sydney we will be met by our Coach Captain who will assist with luggage before we head off for lunch. We will then enjoy a city sights tour taking in Bondi Beach, Darling Harbour, The Rocks and more, before travelling to the Blue Mountains. We will arrive in the Blue Mountains early evening, with dinner at our hotel. Hotel: The Carrington Hotel – 4 nights’ accommodation

Day 2 Tue 7th July Katoomba Highlights [B/L/D] Today after breakfast our first stop will be at Scenic World, where you can ride the steepest railway in the Southern Hemisphere, take a ride on the skyway, enjoy the boardwalk through the rainforest and return from the valley on the cableway. Lunch today will be at the Gingerbread House in Katoomba where we partake in an adult themed “Mad Hatters Party”. The Gingerbread House feels like Christmas all year round – and is set in a beautifully resorted 100-year-old former church. After lunch we make a stop at Echo Point Lookout, the best vantage point for viewing the iconic Three Sisters and do a clifftop and valley view’s highlight tour on our way back to our accommodation, where we will enjoy dinner in- house.

Day 3 Wed 8th July Historic Hartley / Jenolan Caves [B/L/D] After breakfast we will depart for our first stop of the day at the historic inland settlement of Hartley, where we will tour the Courthouse and Church. We then continue to Jenolan Caves, regarded as Australia’s most outstanding cave system, with pure underground rivers and amazing limestone crystal formations, Jenolan Caves is among the finest and oldest cave systems in the world. We will then return to our hotel for dinner.

Day 4 Thu 9th July Blackheath, Hydro Majestic, Carrington Brewery [B/L/D] This morning we will journey out to Blackheath to take in the magnificent panoramic cliff views at Govetts Leap. There will be time before lunch to explore the iconic Hydro Majestic Hotel – the glory of its recent refurbishment, as well as the gift shop. Lunch will be at the Boilerhouse Restaurant right next to Hydro Majestic, with stunning views of the valley. Upon arrival back at the Carrington, we will be taken on a tour of the Katoomba Brewing Company and Carrington Cellars. Tonight, we enjoy a Yulefest dinner at The Carrington, with a sumptuous 4 course dinner, local pianist, and an atmosphere of Christmas that December really can’t match – perhaps even a hint of snow!

Day 5 Fri 10th July Leura High Tea / Home [B/HT/L/In-Flight Meals] This morning we start with a scenic coach tour of Leura and being let loose for a short wander through charming Leura Villlage, before indulging in a Traditional High Tea at Bygone Beautys. Sadly, all good things must come to an end, as we travel this afternoon back to Sydney with a stop at Norman Lindsay Gallery at Faulconbridge - the home of the Magic Pudding, with displays of the artist and writer. We then return to Sydney Airport for our return flight home. On arrival into Brisbane we say good-bye as we all part ways.
