Clique Song List CLIQUE SONG LIST Thank you for downloading our song list! Which specific songs we perform at any given event is based on 3 factors: 1) Popular music that will create an unforgettable party. We “read” your crowd and all the age groups in attendance, calling songs accordingly. 2) General musical styles that fit into your personal preferences. 3) What we perform best; songs that help to make us who we are. We don’t work with pre-determined set lists, but we will try to include many of your preferences & favorites. This in addition to you choosing all the material for any formal dances. We’ll also learn two new songs for you that are not a regular part of our repertoire! (formal dances take precedence). 2020's Song Title Artist Peaches Justin Bieber ft. • Midnight Special Songlist
west coast music Midnight Special Please find attached the Midnight Special song list for your review. SPECIAL DANCES for Weddings: Please note that we will need your special dance requests, (I.E. First Dance, Father/Daughter Dance, Mother/Son Dance etc) FOUR WEEKS in advance prior to your event so that we can confirm that the band will be able to perform the song(s) and that we are able to locate sheet music. In some cases where sheet music is not available or an arrangement for the full band is need- ed, this gives us the time needed to properly prepare the music and learn the material. Clients are not obligated to send in a list of general song requests. Many of our clients ask that the band just react to whatever their guests are responding to on the dance floor. Our clients that do provide us with song requests do so in varying degrees. Most clients give us a handful of songs they want played and avoided. Recently, we’ve noticed in increase in cli- ents customizing what the band plays and doesn’t play with very specific detail. If you de- sire the highest degree of control (allowing the band to only play within the margin of songs requested), we ask for a minimum of 100 requests. We want you to keep in mind that the band is quite good at reading the room and choosing songs that best connect with your guests. The more specific/selective you are, know that there is greater chance of losing certain song medleys, mashups, or newly released material the band has.

west coast music Impulse SPECIAL/PROTOCOL DANCES: Please note that we will need to have your special dance requests (i.e. First Dance, Father/Daughter Dance, etc) FOUR WEEKS prior to your event so that we can confirm the band will be able to perform the song(s) and so that we have enough time to locate sheet music and an audio sample of the song. In cases where sheet music is not available or an arrangement for the full band is needed, this gives us time to properly prepare the music. General song requests are not required, as many of our clients simply ask that the band read & react based on their guest's dance response. Our clients that do provide us with song requests do so in varying degrees. Most clients give us a handful of songs or artists they like and want played or avoided. If you wish to maintain the highest degree of control (allowing the band to only play within the margin of songs requested) we would ask for a minimum of 80 requests from the band’s songlist. 'LOW ROTATION' REQUESTS: General requests chosen from the 'Low Rotation' section of this songlist (pages 7-12) must be submitted at least FOUR WEEKS prior to your event. The songs from the 'Low Rotation' section are not in the current ‘IMPULSE’ song rotation, so the band would need extra preparation time. • Nielsen Music Year-End Report Canada 2016
NIELSEN MUSIC YEAR-END REPORT CANADA 2016 NIELSEN MUSIC YEAR-END REPORT CANADA 2016 Copyright © 2017 The Nielsen Company 1 Welcome to the annual Nielsen Music Year End Report for Canada, providing the definitive 2016 figures and charts for the music industry. And what a year it was! The year had barely begun when we were already saying goodbye to musical heroes gone far too soon. David Bowie, Leonard Cohen, Glenn Frey, Leon Russell, Maurice White, Prince, George Michael ... the list goes on. And yet, despite the sadness of these losses, there is much for the industry to celebrate. Music consumption is at an all-time high. Overall consumption of album sales, song sales and audio on-demand streaming volume is up 5% over 2015, fueled by an incredible 203% increase in on-demand audio streams, enough to offset declines in sales and return a positive year for the business. 2016 also marked the highest vinyl sales total to date. It was an incredible year for Canadian artists, at home and abroad. Eight different Canadian artists had #1 albums in 2016, led by Drake whose album Views was the biggest album of the year in Canada as well as the U.S. The Tragically Hip had two albums reach the top of the chart as well, their latest release and their 2005 best of album, and their emotional farewell concert in August was something we’ll remember for a long time. Justin Bieber, Billy Talent, Céline Dion, Shawn Mendes, Leonard Cohen and The Weeknd also spent time at #1. Break out artist Alessia Cara as well as accomplished superstar Michael Buble also enjoyed successes this year.

  • Drug Facts Week Message Timely with Death of Amy Winehouse
Drug Facts Week Message Timely with Death of Amy Winehouse Details Created on Friday, 23 December 2011 11:52 Amy Winehouse, the former Grammy award-winning artist who had a very public battle with substance use disorder and her use of several illicit and licit substances, died in July of this year. Last week, however, the long awaited cause of Amy Winehouse's death was disclosed at a coroner's court in London. The findings show that Amy had died from her use of alcohol, not from the illicit substances which were the focus of much media attention. Her tragic and unfortunate loss serves to educate us that there is no "safe drug". Every time someone takes an addictive substance whether it be alcohol or cocaine, tobacco or ecstasy, there are significant risks that need to be understood. Unfortunately, our society has focused its attention in regards to the dangers of addiction according to cultural misperceptions. This non-scientific view has allowed for the de- sensitization of the real dangers of legal drugs such as alcohol and tobacco, or prescription drugs which as a result of being improperly used is resulting in an alarming rise in the use of opiates. Seeking to spread the message that all drugs carry risks and are harmful to the body, President Obama's Administration for the second year in a row is holding "Drug Facts Week" from October 31st through November 6th. The weeklong event will seek to connect teens with scientifically proven facts about drugs and substance use disorder. Last year's successful Drug Facts Week saw over 100 community events and discussions between teens and scientists.

  • The Soundtrack of Mental Health
Greetings! 2018 was a stellar year for our organization. We have been busy in the trenches in the Atlanta community and across the nation making strides in erasing the stigma around mental health and poverty. Leading the way has been our mental health efforts, largely in part to the Silence the Shame (STS) movement. #SilenceTheShame is now a commonly used hashtag in the fight against stigma, especially in communities of color. Due to the overwhelming response to the movement, programs, and outcomes, our team and the Board of Directors felt that a name change of the foundation from the Hip-Hop Professional Foundation, Inc. (HHPF) to Silence the Shame, Inc. is a better representation of our efforts and focus moving forward. The name change will occur in 2019. The foundation’s work last year was impactful and plentiful given our limited funding with the hard work of our small but mighty staff and volunteer committee. We completed a 7-city teen mental health tour with the Jack and Jill Foundation, Inc., impacting teens in New York, Texas, Illinois, California and the District of Columbia. In addition, we secured a partnership with the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities to curate work- shops and trainingsaround Behavioral Health and Faith in the State of Georgia. Finally, we produced successful Community Conversations with partners in music, technology, film and entertainment. The National Day Calendar recognized our efforts and officially proclaimed May 5th as National Silence the Shame day. We used that platform to raise funds for the foundation. Donors and supporters participated in a national text-a-thon on May 5th by donating/posting to social media.

Completely Casey Lendway My mother always told me that there would come a day when the plot of my own life would not make sense to me anymore. She never told me about boys who are godless with their mouths, or the ones who sit like cicadas on your doorstep screaming about the ghosts who inhabit their brainstems. d Onion River Review 201 6 d D Onion River Review d 2016 dd Onion River Review d 2016 river run by Briana Brady Agi Chretien Lily Gardner Victoria Sullivan Cory Warren Cody Wasuta Editors’ Note As we put together this year’s Onion River Review, we tried our very best to produce another weird little book of which we could be proud. Every year, the Onion takes a new shape, filled with the imaginations of its submitters and pieced together by a changing group of editors whose only common denominator is that they’re as fantastic (read: bizarre) as it gets. This year, as we sifted through submissions, we found work that made us think stuff, feel stuff, move stuff, pick stuff up and put it back down. We loved stuff, fought for stuff, ate way too many Double Stufs, and, in the end, managed to stuff this book with some pretty great stuff. So what is all this stuff? In the process of compiling the pieces that make up this year’s issue, we dove into some of the Big Questions: art, politics, relatability, perspective, lighting, birds, vegetables, and, most usefully, how to correctly identify and eradicate the plague of our time, lizard people.
