11- Policies Map
11.1 This Section includes the Policies Map for the Local Plan. This covers the whole of the Chelmsford area and its purpose is to illustrate sites for development or protection within the Plan. An illustrative map showing the current Designated Neighbourhood Plan Areas is included within the mapping.
11.2 Most notations on the Policies Map are defined by the Council including open spaces, Employment Areas and Settlement Boundaries. A number of evidence base studies have been used to inform the notations on the Policies Map. These include a Review of the Defined Settlement and Urban Area Boundaries 2018, an Open Space Assessment 2016 and a review of Green Wedges and Green Corridors 2017. All these evidence base studies are listed in Appendix E with links to the documents on the City Council’s website.
11.3 The table below sets out which areas are covered by which Policies Map. The notations on the Maps are shown on the Key found at the front of this Section.
