Attracting visitors from near and far, we are extremely proud of the long standing history and reputation of The Keith Country Show, renowned as one of 's best and friendliest shows. This year we look forward to celebrating a tradition of 144 years standing and are, as ever, keen to maintain this proud tradition and to continue to broaden the appeal of the Show.

We would like to thank everyone who exhibited at last year’s Show and hope to see you again in August. We appreciated that Showing is very time consuming and increasingly expensive and truly appreciate your support and the professionalism that you bring to not only the Showring, but also to the Grand Parade of Livestock, making the Keith Show Parade one of the best in the country.

This year's Stock Judging Competition, kindly sponsored by Seafield Veterinary Group, is on Sunday 24th July at Reclettich Farm, Glenrinnes, Dufftown by kind permission Mr & Mrs A Locke, starting at 1pm. The Stock Judging Competition is open to everyone and there will be classes for Individuals, Teams and Young Farmers. There will also be some fun classes, a raffle, bar & barbeque. Please come along and support this event.

May we remind cattle exhibitors of a new class for Best Native Sired Cross Bred Animal, Class 179. We are delighted that the W R Simmers Scottish Beef Supreme Cattle Championship will again be held at Keith Country Show. This competition is open to Beef Champions from all of the Scottish Shows, and provides a terrific spectacle, attracting entries from across Scotland.

There are two new sections within the Sheep Schedule for Rare and Minority Breeds: Primitive & Northern Shortail and Rare, Hill & Upland Breeds, so we hope that these sections also help to boost the Wool entries. Following the successful inclusion of Sheep in the Grand Parade last year, we hope that more exhibitors will halter train their sheep and take part this year. Moving the Sheepshearing into the dancing tent proved to be a bit hit last year with

The Sunday Horse Classes will again be held in the Main Arena with the Unaffiliated Show Jumping on Sunday afternoon in the Horse Ring. This allows entries from the morning classes to compete in the Jumping. Classes are being run again this year for Appaloosa's and spotted horses with a new Class for In Hand Heavy Horses (other than Clydesdales) following the Irish Draughts. The Gypsy Cob Section will again be a qualifier for the TGCA National Championships and there are Bright Stars Qualifiers for the BSPS Summer Championships. In the Monday Classes, the Ridden Clydesdales are once again a qualifier for the 2016 Blair Horse trials and the Clydesdale Horse Young Handler will qualify for the 2017 Royal Highland Show.

Building on the successful re-introduction of the Companion Dog Show last year, it will again be taking part in the cattle lines on Sunday and the Poultry Show, also on Sunday, has added classes for Wild Game Birds.

An action packed programme of events is lined up for the Main Arena on both days and we are delighted to present on Sunday: Monster Trucks to thrill the crowd, Terrier Racing, Pony Club Games, Horse Parade, Vintage & Truck Parade along with Children’s Races, Pets Parade, Balloch Hill Race, Tug of War and Highland Dancing. On Monday another full programme includes the excitement of the Scottish Beef Cattle Championship, the Grand Parade, Terrier Racing and Pipebands.

We would like to thank the many businesses who support the Show, through generous sponsorship and donations – their contribution is greatly appreciated. There is a wide range of Sponsorship Packages now available, please ask any committee member for details, or see the website.

The Trade Stand area will be packed with a wide and varied choice of goods on sale. We are sure Visitors, Exhibitors and all who take part in the Show will find it an interesting, enjoyable and rewarding experience, and, from all of the committee, thank you once more for supporting us.

Please note: Separate schedules are available for Cattle, Sheep, Sheep Shearing & Wool, Horses & Showjumping, Industrial and Horticultural Sections, Vintage Section, Truck Show, Dog Show, Poultry & Wild Game, Highland Dancing & Crop Competition.

Please refer to the website www.keithshow.org.uk or contact me for further details and relevant entry forms.
