Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project popularly known as SKDRDP is a registered charitable trust promoted by Dr. D. the sole trustee of Shri Dharmasthala temple.

Dharmasthala is a famous Hindu religious shrine of South with about 700 years of History. The presiding deity of Dharmasthala is Lord Manjunatha Swamy reincarnation of Lord . Dharmasthala is known for religious harmony yet with a lot of Bhakthi and religious fervor.

Although the deity is Shiva, the Priests are Vaishnavaites. The trustee of the temple belongs to Jain community.

Many festivals in Dharmasthala attract tourists and faithfulls, all over the country.

The festivals of Dharmasthala have a tinge of religion, bhakthi, social value, cultural ethos, rituals.

Annadhana and Abhayadhana are two of the major functions ordained to be performed by Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade as the trustee of the temple.

Excellent facilities have been provided for visitors of Dharmasthala. The massive “Annapoorna” Dining hall provides lunch and dinner for all the visitors of Dharmasthala.

INTRODUCTION

Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development programme was started by Dr D. Veerednra Hegde, Dharmadhikari of Shri Kshetra Dharmastala, As an integral part of the tradition of disbursing charity prevalent at the Kshethra. It is aimed at the all-round development of the life of the Rural people through its various scheme . More than 2 Lakhs people have been empowered during the last 20 years as a result of this project. Sampoorna suraksha health insurance scheme is one of the products of SKDRDP . The Greatest hurdle for the families trying to stand on their own feet have been the sudden incidence of diseases, accidents and hospitalization expenses which not only drain all their life’s savings but also push them to the vicious cycle of debts. Besides, life’s special occasions like births and deaths put a strain on their meagre purse. Sampoorna Surksha is a novel scheme to give financial assistance to the power in their days of difficulty. It is a unique programme wherein all participants join together to bring security to their insecure life. The entire programme is designed on the basis of self-help. The members of SKDRDP participate in this programme by contributing an annual subscription. A part of the the total subscription amount is invested in Insurance companies to look after the hospitalization expenses and the remaining amount is used in emergencies like births and deaths, natural calamity etc., SPECIALITY OF THE SCHEME

1. The Scheme is designed on the basis of Self-help. 2. Hospitalisation to the members of the scheme in the net work hospitals on Cash less basis 3. Premium can be paid on weekly basis 4. Credit facilities from SHG in case of treatment cost exceeds the available amount in the insurance policy. 5. The coverage is on floater basis in multiple of Rs.5000/- enjoyed by the all the members of the family 6. 2. Rs. 25000 compensation in case of death of the insured in an accident.

3. In Case disability suffered by the insured due to accident ex :- if one leg, one hand,one eye, Rs. 12,500 is given as compensation.

4. If he losses both the limbs or if he is permanent disable Rs.25000 compensation is given SPECIAL BENEFITS • Maternity Benefits Maternity allowance is given during the 1st two delivery of the Policy holder

Allowance for Domiciliary Hospitalisation If the insured person is taking treatment for grievous wounds at home is not able to work he is given unemployment allowance for the period of 30 days

On the Death of farm animals In case of Milch cattle or farm animals is used for ploughing die., compensation amount is given according to the value of these animals. . Damage to the Roof

Roof of a household is damaged because of nature’s fury like strong winds, compensation is given according to the number of tiles lost

Loss to Agriculture

Compensation amount is disbursed if there is loss of coconut, areca nut trees that are yielding or rubber trees that are being taped on account of natural fury.

On the Natural death of the Insured
