Weaving Course#1 Recycled Woven Beach Tote Linda Melbard Weave a fabulous bag out of recycled bags. Great for a trip to the beach or the Farmers Market. Learn the ins and outs of with recycled materials from selection, preparation, weaving and . Linda has perfected the process and will share it with you! Beginning/ Intermediate Weaving Discover the fun, excitement and creativity of weaving on floor looms. No prior experience is necessary. You will learn how to plan a woven project of your choice. We will go through the steps of preparing the , threading the loom, weaving the fabric and finishing the final product. Course #8 Knit Rag Bag Pat Barry Here is another recycled bag opportunity! Rag Bag is the affectionate name for the hand bag knitted from fabric. Prior knowledge of knitting is required. In day one of this workshop, you will consider the many options and design your own personal hand bag. Construction which includes cutting the fabric and knitting will begin. In the second session, the bag will be put together and the handles attached. A supply list will be provided prior to the first session. Kits will also be available

Course #21 Machine Knitting II Dawn Oertel The . This class will build on the skills from Machine Knitting I to create a sweater. Guage swatches, increasing, decreasing, shaping and joining to knit the component pieces and assemble them in your finished product. Previous machine knitting class required and you should have you own LK150. (These are available for purchase in the studio.) Miscellaneous “Zoom Loom “ Deb Bednarek Zoom looms are cute portable looms you can weave a 4 inch square on that has 4 neat selvedges. What do you do with these little squares once you master the loom? Discover just how creative you can be with a loom that you can take everywhere you go. This class will meet twice. The first night we’ll go over setting up the loom and how to weave the squares as well as yarn selection and planning. The second meeting you’ll construct a cell phone purse or small bag using your woven pieces, learning different seaming methods, edging styles, embellishment and finishing touches. You’ll have so many ideas you won’t be able to stop at one! Dyeing for Fiber Artists Susan Forbes Love color? Curious to dye something? Want to have something beautiful and unique at the end of just one class? Then this class is for you and no previous dye experience is necessary. Take your color passion to the next level by painting roving, yarn, prewound (you prepare) weaving warp with professional dyes. In this class, Susan will guide you through the process; from proper fabric prep and the safe handling of dyes; to how to set the fabric to get the most color from the dyes. Come join us where your creativity is only limited by your willingness to get your hands dirty. By the way, wear old clothes! Tuesday 1:00-4:00 June 24th $45.00
