Introducing a new coach! Tyee Athletics is excited to announce the hiring of Ariniesha Smith as our new Head Girls Coach. Ariniesha is a 2012 graduate of Tyee (Ace). A three time All-Seamount League performer, she led the To- tems to three consecutive district appearances. Her Senior Year, she also led the state in scoring average, scor- ing 28.5 points per game. After graduating from Tyee, Coach Smith earned and ath- letic scholarship to continue her education at Lower Co- lumbia Community College where she again performed well enough to earn an athletic scholarship to the University of Alaska-Fairbainks, graduating in 2014. After coaching at the college level for a few years, she knew her heart was back home. Coach Smith has coached at multi- ple levels over the last couple years, most recently, heading InvestED Fundraiser for the Girls Basketball Program for Chinook Middle School.
