Arrival in Gdansk. Airport transfer to your hotel

Day 2. Gdansk: Sightseeing Gdansk

Visiting Westerplatte peninsula where the first battle of the Second World War took place on September 1, 1939 is just one of the highlights of our half-day private tour. You also shouldn’t miss the former Lenin Shipyards with the Road to Freedom exhibition as well as the picturesque Main Town with its fabulous town houses and the world’s biggest brick church. Visitors love the old granaries near the river promenade and the leisurely, almost maritime atmosphere so perhaps you may like to stay and enjoy free time. If the weather is good and you feel like extensive travelling, the driver can take you also to nearby Sopot, the prime Polish seaside resort.

Day 3. Sztutowo: Stutthof tour

This half-day private tour will bring you to Stutthof. In 1939-1945 it was one of the cruellest of Nazi camps, and was established to round up and annihilate the Polish opposition in the Gdansk region - but after 1942 it became one of the extermination camps for the Final Solution. Over 100,000 people were kept in the camp, and the number of dead is estimated at 65-85,000.

Day 4. KASHUBIA REGION: Visiting Kashubia and former Prussia region

Leaving Gdansk we will also leave the capital of Kashubia, the region known from its culture, traditions and language. Kashubian people lived together with Poles and Germans in the Free City of Gdansk before and during the WW II. Today it’s one of biggest and most interesting minorities living in Poland. At the morning you will visit the Kashubian open air museum to learn more about the region and the polulation. Later on, on the way to Szczecinek, you will have a chance to see the former Prussian castle in Bytow build by the Teutonic Order.

Day 5. BORNE SULINOWO: Visit in Borne Sulinowo

This day is dedicated to discover one of the most weird little towns in Poland – Borne Sulinowo. After the WW II this area was closed for people and excluded from the management of Polish authorities. Behind the Iron Curtain there was a huge group of Soviet soldiers and Borne Sulinowo was their biggest training field. There was a complete town build specially dedicated to the Russian soldiers, including the railway system, bunkers, casino, orthodox churches and barracks. Today you will have the chance to see the town, including the tank ride on the training camp and learn more about the presence of the Soviet army on Polish territories after the second world war. The afternoon in Szczecinek and free time to enjoy in this small lakeside resort.

Day 6. EAST WALL: Visit the Fortification Region of Miedzyrzecz

The town of Miedzyrzecz gave its name for the Fortification Region of Miedzyrzecz. The fortification system, which was built here by Nazis short before and during the WW II was the most technologically advanced defence system in Nazis Germany. Today it’s one of main tourist attractions in Western Poland, where you can visit over 100 concrete bunkers and tunnels under the ground. Day 7. BERLIN: Cross the border. Visiting Berlin.

After the 2,5hrs transfer you will reach the city centre of Berlin. Here you will get the chance to discover some of the most important attractions of Berlin, also related to the second world war and to the times after the war when the city was divided by the wall. The tour end in selected hotel city centre or at the main train station in Berlin.
