THE STUDY OF THE OFFER FORMING SOURCES AT THE MUTTON MEAT IN TIMIS CONTY

For this study were used the basic methods of methods of investigation: the analyze, the synthesis and comparison in time and space using the typical economic indicators. The paper presents the grouping of county’s localities depending on the animals number bred at 1000 inhabitants, the grouping of the localities according to the animal number per 100 ha, the grouping of the localities according to the meat product achieved per inhabitant annually, the grouping of the localities according to the meat product achived per ha annually. Introduction

This paper presents a study regarding the local sources of forming the offer at the product mutton meat, grouping the locaities of Timis county in function of: number of animals raised at 1000 inhabitants, density of animals at 100 ha agricultural land (arable+hay field+pasture), annual live weight production on inhabitant, annual live weight production on 1 ha agricultural land, comparison of values obtained in Timis county compared with the average values in Romania

Materials and Methods

Some fundamental methods were used to realize this study: documentation analysis, synthesis, comparison in time and space using specific economic indicators. We used as source of information County Direction for Agriculture and Rural Development and County Direction of Statistics.

479 Results and Discussion

This study has been conducted in 2007. Using the indicator number of animals at 1000 inhabitants, the localities in Timis county group: Between 1-300 heads seeps at 1000 inhabitants: 8 localities 301-600 heads at 1000 inhabitants: 11 localities 601-900 heads at 1000 inhabitants: 10 localities 901-1200 heads at 1000 inhabitants: 12 localities 1201-1500 heads at 1000 inhabitants: 6 localities Over 1500 heads at 1000 inhabitants: 47 localities Romania’s average at this indicator in 2007 was 355.7 heads at 1000 inhabitants. The average number in Timis county was 757.41 heads at 1000 inhabitants. Compared with the national average, the localities in Timis county: under the national average – 11 localities and over the national average – 83 localities. The biggest number of seeps at 1000 inhabitants has been realized in the localities: Bara (37231 heads), Secas (29706 heads ), Brestovat (10524 heads), (8338 heads). The smallest number of seeps at 1000 inhabitants has been realized in the localities: Timisoara (8.8 heads), (64.8 heads), Dumbrăviţa (94.6 heads), Sanicolau Mare (97.8 heads). Using the indicator density of animals at 100 ha agricultural land (arable + pasture + hay field), the localities in Timis county group: Between 1-30 heads at 100 ha: 16 localities 31-60 heads at 100 ha : 26 localities 61-90 heads at 100 ha : 26 localities 91-120 heads at 100 ha : 14 localities Over 120 heads at 100 ha : 12 localities Romania’s average at this indicator in 2007 was 61.9 heads at 100 ha agricultural land. The average number in Timis county was 67.5 heads at 100 ha agricultural land. Compared with the national average, the localities in Timis county: under the national average – 45 localities and over the national average – 49 localities. The biggest density at 100 ha agricultural land has been realized in the localities: Bara (246 heads), Secas (211.3 heads), Buziaş (189.9 heads), Fibiş (176.8 heads), (167.2 heads). The smallest density at 100 ha agricultural land has been realized in the localities: Sanicolau Mare (10.5 heads), (11.3 heads), (13.6 heads), Dumbrăviţa (15.0 heads), (16.4 heads).

480 Using the indicator live weight meat production an 1 inhabitant localities in Timis county group: Between 0.01-10 kg meat on 1 inhabitant : 54 localities 10.1 -20 kg meat on 1 inhabitant : 24 localities 20.1 – 30 kg meat on 1 inhabitant : 8 localities 30.1 – 40 kg meat on 1 inhabitant : 2 localities 40.1 – 50 kg meat on 1 inhabitant : 1 localities over 50 kg meat on 1 inhabitant : 5 localities Romania’s average at this indicator in 2007 was 4.67 kg meat on 1 inhabitant. The average number in Timis county was 5.42 kg meat on 1 inhabitant. Compared with the national average, the localities in Timis county: under the national average – 24, localities and over the national average – 70 localities. The biggest values at this indicator have been realized in the localities: Bara (281.3 kg), Giulvaz (114.5 kg), Ghilad (81.2 kg), Moravita (58.7 kg), Brestovat (53.6 kg). The smallest values have been realized in the localities: Lugoj (0.17 kg), Timişoara (0.18 kg), Nadrag (0.46 kg), Dumbravita (0.83 kg), (1.32 kg). Using the indicator live weight meat production on 1 ha agricultural land (arable, pasture, hay field), the localities in Timis county group: Between 0.1 – 5 kg meat on 1 ha: 63 localities 5.1 – 10 kg meat on 1 ha : 25 localities 10.1 – 15 kg meat on 1 ha : 1 localities 15.1 – 20 kg meat on 1 ha : 3 localities 20.1 – 25 kg meat on 1 ha : 1 localities over 30 kg meat on 1 ha : 1 localities Romania’s average at this indicator in 2007 was 7.06 kg meat an 1 ha agricultural land. The average number in Timis county was 4.89 meat on 1 ha. Compared with the national average, the localities in Timis county: under the national average – 78 localities and over the national average – 16 localities. The biggest values at this indicator have been realized in the localities: Giulvaz (33.5 kg), Ghilad (20.7 kg), Bara (18.7 kg). Moravita (18.3 kg), (15.3 kg). The smallest values at this indicator have been realized in the localities: (0.86 kg), Bogda (1.05 kg), (1.19 kg), Dudestii Noi (1.21 kg), Dumbravita (1.28 kg).

481 Conclusions

1. Considering all tree indicators used in this study, the values obtained in Timis county are above the national level. 2. In the 1990-2007 period, in Timis county, the number of seeps diminished from 698900 heads at 501103 heads with 28.31%.
