By Gregory A. Scibelli [email protected]

HOLYOKE – cross country and track have had a great history of success, and the boys track team would have been just as successful as in previous years under Joe Dutsar, who also coaches football for the school. Dutsar said he had a cau- tiously optimistic outlook on the season, saying the team would have needed to find consistent performances at each meet this year. “We had a cautiously optimistic outlook if the right players were able to come together and perform on a consistent basis,” said Dutsar. “With veteran leadership and unclassed speed we were looking to be a better team than we were last season.” He said he feels for the seniors that will not get an opportunity to compete one last time. “I feel horrible for my guys,” he said. “But it’s one of those things. We don’t worry about what we can’t control.” Among the seniors he projects to be part of the team this year was Jacob Swinehart. Swinehart would have competed in the 200, been part of the relay teams, and would have been a long or tri- ple jumper. “He was hard-working, dedicated, and one of our top returning scorers from last year,” said Dutsar. Over the past few weeks we have seen a sharp increase in fresh meat prices, due to limited supply, and high demand. We will not run out of meat, however certain items or cuts may be less available than others. Our frozen sections continue to provide great values with an extensive selection and variety, and are a great alternative, we encourage you to check them out! Please note, beginning May 6th, per the order of the State of Massachusetts, anyone entering the premises must wear a face covering and we will be required to refuse entry to anyone who does not comply. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during these unusual circumstances. Be well and stay safe!
