242 DIVISION I Indoor Track DIVISION I 2002 Championships Highlights Tigers Take Title: Three individual champions and three triple-jump place winners lifted LSU back to the championship March 8-9 at Arkansas. The Tigers scored 57 points in winning their first team title since 1997 and division-leading ninth crown overall. Muna Lee won the 200-meter dash and placed third in the 60-meter dash for LSU. She set a meet record of 22.82 seconds in the 200. Marian Burnett became the first LSU woman to win the 800-meter run indoors with a time of 2:05.33. Nicole Toney posted the Tigers' third winning effort in the triple jump. Teammates Bianca Rockett and Andria Booker finished sixth and eighth, respectively, adding up to 14 team points in the event. A total of six meet records were established. In addition to Lee and UCLA's distance medley relay team, Southern California's Angela Williams (60-meter dash), Illinois' Perdita Felicien (60-meter high hurdles), Arizona's Amy Linnen (pole vault) and Clemson's Jamine Moton (20-pound weight throw) also broke previous marks. Moton finished second in her event, but is credited with the record since the winner's implement did not meet the specifications in the rules during the post-competition inspection required for record verification. UMBC’s Cleopatra Borel won the shot put. TEAM STANDINGS 1. LSU............................... 57 19. Kansas St. ..................... 13 Southwest Tex. St. .......... 5 2.
