MINNESOTA: The Orioles lead the Twins in the all-time series, 324-283, with the Birds going 172-132 at home and leading 152-151 at Minnesota…The Birds have lost eight consecutive games to the Twins (0-7 this season) dating back to September 1, 2014…It was the first time since August 23-26, 2007 (also at Oriole Park) that the Twins swept the Orioles in a four-game series…The Birds are now 4-5 in extra innings this season, while the Twins improved to 5-6 on the season in such games.

BROOMING: According to STATS, LLC., the Orioles completed the third homestand in club history (since 1954) during which the Birds swept a four-game series and were swept in a four-game series after taking four straight from the Oakland Athletics, August 14-17, before dropping four consecutive games to the , August 20-23…It is the first time since four losses, July 7-9, 1972 vs. Texas and four wins, July 14-16, 1972 vs. Chicago-AL…The only other such instance was four losses, June 18-20, 1954 vs. Washington Senators and four wins, June 25-27, 1954 vs. Philadelphia Athletics.

RARE LOSS: The Orioles dropped their first game of the season when leading after 8.0 innings, falling to 54-1 on the season.
