1. Minutes of 19 April 2006

2. Matters Arising . P Smith reported that the letter to Gordon Hughes had still to be actioned following consultation with the PTA. . C Robb reported that dog mess is consistently being left on the grass at Imnhoe Road. Details to be passed to Councillor Goldie.

3. Community Police Update

PC Gregor Mathie reported that some important leads were being investigated relating to the fire raising incidents.

The confrontations at have calmed down now.

No hrther complaints received from elderly resident relating to loitering and littering outside her door.

It had been suggested that the Park n Ride car park was being used as a gathering place for young drivers but doesn’t seem to have carne to anything. Community Police to continue to monitor. A group of boys hanging about at the underpass at Scott Drive and Ashiestiel seems to have calmed down.

It was suggested that the path along Luggiebank was being used for under-age drinking. Coinrnunity Police to monitor.

Vandalism to gate at play area in Halidon Avenue. Community Police to visit.

Letter from Councillor Goldie advising of application refusal for Hot Food Prep and also that the Environment Protection Team are willing to attend one of‘his surgeries. 6. Local Issues

People loitering and littering at Millcroft Steadings in Luggiebank. Community Police to continue monitoring.

Ice Cream Van at Athelstane Drive. Litter Team from NLC to go out once they have been contacted. Residents to advise Walter Kilgour of specifics.

Increase in the number of local shops that have slot machines. Is there a restriction on prize money? Do they need to apply for a Gaming Licence? 7. Councillor Update

Elderly resident complaint, See previous comments under Police Update. Ice Cream van. See previous comment under Local issues. Dog Mess. See previous comment under Matters Arising. Final bollard to go up at Marmion Road. Split Bar not installed yet at bottom of WoodIands Primary. Pursuing response from NLC on recycling for flats. No response yet from NLC on the advice given to Marmion and Melrose residents to put rubbish in black bags and wait a week as a result of the strike action. No response yet from NLC on public access to Tryst swimming pool. Lights to be fixed at Halidon Avenue. Requested ‘No Ball Games’ due to a complaint fiom resident at Halidon Avenue. 0 New lights installed around the Greenfaulds ring-road to be connected. Q Dangerous drop at Marmion. Councillor Goldie to pursue whose responsibility. Requested monetorium. Motion put forward.

Councillor Homer

0 A Planning Application from a Developer to build 50 houses, a 60 bed hotel, and a golf academy and golf range has been recommended for refusal as the houses are not part of the Local Plan. No site visit request has been received by the Special Planning Committee. CC Picture of Health March was quite successful. Health Eoard meeting being iield on 24/05/06. 0 A complaint that Cleansing had not been seen 8.t Luggiebank has now been resolved. No free transport for schoolchildren from Luggiebank to Woodlands and St Margaret’s Primary Schools being looked into.

8. Misct:lBaneous

There was a discussion on organising a joint event with Schools and Pensioner Groups in the area. Suggestions were Christmas Fayre, Indoor Gala day, Pensioner Day: Tickets 1o Cumbernauld ‘Theatre, Football Event between 2 Coiiimunity Councils and Police, Craft Fayre.

Councillor Goldie suggested representatives from Environment Protection Team at NLC are invited to the September meeting. There was no other competent Business phenext meeting was confirmed as Wed&sday 21 June 2006 in-1 1 Primary- School at 7.3Qpm
