Treveri Cellars is a family-owned house that produces some of the finest handcrafted sparkling wines in the United States. Located in the picturesque Yakima Valley, Treveri Cellars reflects the vision of its founding Winemaker, Jürgen Grieb, of bringing together old world methods with new world .

Producing a wide array of sparkling wines, including non-traditional varieties such as and Mueller-Thurgau, Treveri focuses on 100% sparkling wines, as well as a reserve tier of sparkling wine.

Winemaking Team

German-born owner and Head Winemaker Jürgen Grieb holds degrees in both winemaking and sparkling winemaking. After moving to the United States in the early 1980s, Jürgen worked as a winemaker for several different facilities before opening Treveri Cellars in 2007.

Growing up alongside his winemaker father, Christian Grieb was quick to follow in his father’s footsteps after being exposed to winemaking at an early age. After getting a finance degree from University and a Winemaking Certificate from UC Davis, Christian now works alongside his father as a Winemaker and VP of Sales.

Naches Heights and Strand Vineyards – Naches Heights AVA The coolest growing region in makes these vineyards well suited for sparkling wines. These vineyards provide Riesling, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.

Hilltop Vineyard – Yakima Valley AVA 35-year-old vines originally planted by Walter Clore provide Treveri with Chardonnay grapes for the Brut and Brut Zero.

Pleasant Vineyard – Yakima Valley AVA Nestled in the rolling hills of the Yakima Valley, the Pleasant Vineyard grows Chardonnay, Syrah, and Riesling.

Marchant Vineyard – Yakima Valley AVA An ideal site for Pinot Noir with approximately 2600 GDD (growing degree days), the Marchant Vineyard grows Pinot Noir for Treveri’s Blanc de Noirs and Brut Rosé.

Den Hoed Vineyard – Yakima Valley AVA This picturesque vineyard is located near the fertile and provides Treveri with Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer grapes. A storied old vine producer, these grapes often make it into Treveri’s premium sparkling wine programs.
