Now the group is one of the better known black metal bands in Germany. History V Santura Band was founded in 1994 by guitarist Asvargr after his band Carnage disbanded due to musical differences. Soon after, singer Matthias Azathoth Jell joined. In 1995, the band completed several songs that stylistically resembled the early works of Satyricon. In the same year Charon and Njord joined The Dark Fortress, and a year later the revival of the demonstration Dark Age was released in the release of 250 copies. 1997 Crom and Thamuz joined a band whose music became melodic using an additional second guitar. On February 22, 1997, the band performed their first concert with Path of The Losers, Crack Up and Blackend Landshute, followed by concerts including Disaster, Lunar Aurora and Nagelfar the same year. [1] In October 1997, three songs were recorded, two of which were released on a broken CD Link Immortality with the NSBM band Barad Dér. According to interview statements by dark fortress members, they were still in a relatively new scene and searched the group's split EP. They were proposed by Lord Asgaqlun, the owner of the record label Fog of the Apocalypse Records (also the former Darkgrafen, Ex-Caedes, now Camulos); they had never heard of the group, but decided to publish it, also for financial reasons, because they lacked the money for such an announcement; In Lord Asgaqlun's statement that the group would publish a rather crass text, dark fortress members thought of a very anti-Christian text; the group did not see the actual text until the EP was released and then distanced itself from the Barad D'r approach. [3] According to their statements, they do not comply with the NSBM development scene. [4] [5] Song Into My Deepest Desire was also released in the preparation of the encyclopedia Pestilentia French label Velvet Music International, 1998 exclusive name emperor Majestic Nights on The Second Vision ...... From the Mystic Forest. 1998 Thamuz and Njord left the band due to musical differences and were replaced by Zoltan and Paymon band Nebulah Horde. On the first Tales of Eternal Dusk, the contract was signed with CCP Records in November 1998, but was terminated three days before the planned studio date. [1] Dark Fortress joined the German Black Metal Horda, which was founded in 1998 and included the bands Obsidian, The True Frost, Sadorass, Seeds of Hate, Empaligon and Deathgate Arkanum, as well as fanzines for picket and lightning. [6] Paymon continued to make their debut album at the end of his contract with CCP Records. In June 2000, Zoltan left the Dark Fortress to inse much his project Cremation, which was based on American Death Metal. In August 2000, the first album was recorded at Klangschmiede Studio E Mellrichstadt under the leadership of Markus Stock, who works with Empyrium and The Vision Bleak, among others; Since the new bassist Draug became a member of the Dark Fortress before the recordings, Crom recorded both guitar and bass. In November 2000, guitarist Crom left the band due to personal differences, a few weeks later drummer Charon because he wanted to take a completely different musical direction. In January 2001, they were replaced by Seraph and Santura, and shortly thereafter signed two with Red Stream Records, where their debut album Tales from Eternal Dusk was released. On July 14, 2001, the band performed for the first time in Regensburg with the seeds of hatred and encrusted. The second album, Profane Genocide Creations, was recorded in May 2002. The concert with Cirith Gorgor and Sear Bliss was scheduled for delayed release on February 15, 2003, but the Dark Fortress performance was canceled due to their singer's health problems on the day of the performance; as a substitute, in June 2003 the Commission adopted a proposal for a directive on the protection of the environment and the environment. [1] Some members were dissatisfied with the sound of the album. After this album stabilized Azath (vocals), Asvargr (guitar), Santura (guitar), Draug (bass), Paymon (keyboards) and Seraph (drums) line-up. In the same year, work was announced on the next album Stab Wounds, as well as an LP version of Eternal Dusk's fairytale version with split CD songs that were to be released in the fog of apocalypse, as well as the latter. [8] The wounds were released through the label Black Attakk, but in 2005, a version of the debut album LP was released with a new entry from Into My Deepest Desire and a non-ununimised greyhound cover. The international music press also reacted positively to the album. The choice of label led to sharp criticism from the underground, and she was advised to leave the German Black Metal Hord. After past most of the problems made live performances more difficult, the band has performed more and more since 2004, mostly at festivals. In 2005, the band signed a new record deal with Century Media and worked on a new album. In addition, Dark Fortress has made occasional appearances at festivals such as up from the ground and individual concerts. The album Séance has quite harsh breaks with the usual black metal roots,[10] was finally released in January 2006. Then, in April this year, Dark Fortress accompanied Swedish band Lord Belial on their Night Beast tour. The band also performed with The Full Force Festival and performed several concerts with Celtic Frost and Satyricon, among others. [2] Santura also became a direct guitarist for Celtic Frost. In May 2007, a friend left the band for personal reasons. He formed a group of Eudaimony with Marcus von Naglfar, Bewitched, Havayoth, Ancient Wisdom and Ahaz throne. [12] Dark Fortress replaced Azath with Morean, guitarist of progressive death/thrash metal band Noneuclid, in which V.Santura and Seraph's dark fortress are also active. Morean has already worked as a composer in the song Incide from the album Séance and made arrangements for While They Sleep. Together with him, in October 2007 he was arrested in The Hague. The album, first titled Scum, is now called Eidolon and was released on February 22, 2008. In March of the same year, Dark Fortress completed its first headliner tour in Europe, the Dark Essence Alliance Tour in 2008, along with Helheim and Vulture Industries. At the end of 2009, the band toured Europe with Satyricon, Shining and Posthum. In January 2010, the album Ylem and Dark Fortress, along with Snakes, Farsote and Sardonis, completed another headliner tour of Europe. Venereal Dawn was released in 2014. The style of Dark Fortress music is clearly influenced by the black metal of the 1990s, their first song, completed in 1995, was somewhat reminiscent of the early works of Satyricon. In Satyricon, emperor and chaos are the main influence. [14] Their debut album, recorded six years after its inception, was released by the band itself due to the cross-style of various styles, mainly black and death metal with a mixture of dissection, UNANIMATED, AT THE GATES and SATYRICON, [1] Apocalypse fog, it is advertised as Swedish-style melodic black metal. [15] The publication of their third album Stab Wounds, in turn, refers to traditional black metal (Expect their history to have ever been written the most hateful and coldest material in the Dark Fortress. JUST BLACK METAL, AS IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE !!!). [8] However, the band has found its own style, which is characterized by the fact that musicians achieve a rather morbid and rotten black metal atmosphere even with adventurous or non-stylistic elements, and despite the raw materials and gloom of content to make demanding music. [16] The singer Morean's main influence is Morbid Angel, Emperor, Opeth, Meshuggah, Bonding Young Lad and Slayer, composers such as Igor Fyodorovich Stravinsky, Béla Bartik, György Ligeti, Dmitri Dmitrievich Shostakovich and Witold Lutos-awski, as well as performers such as Paco de Luca, Massive Attack, Portishead or Nils Petter Molv. Galt Dark Fortress used to be one of the most capable (if clichéd) underground black metal bands,[18] is now much more diverse, so you can expect everything from the Dark Fortress, except the standardized 08/15 Black Metal[19]; there were even comparisons to Paradise Lost. [20] [16] Martin Loga described the range of stylistic elements of powermetal.de as impressive. [21] According to Mr Santura, this is also a demarcation of the thinking of the drawers, because he believes that black metal is a rebellion and very liberal music. Do what you want will be the only law - and that's what we do. He said he no longer wants to follow any rules that some fucked-up kids set up in Norway almost 20 years ago. [22] Moreover, the rejection of development was the exact opposite of what was originally Black Metal; [9] Innovation is even inevitable if the genre doesn't want to suffocate itself like punk or rock'n'roll. [23] Black metal is a sucking favorite, but you should not limit yourself. You miss such things, it can't be. And without other effects, an album like Séance would not be possible. And back when De Mysteriis Dom Sathan came out of MAYHEM, which is one of the most important albums the scene refers to, it was something pretty crass, revolutionary and new that didn't exist before. Absolutely innovative and rebellious. It is these people who want to say that everything now sounds like this and so, and there must be no innovation, rebellion and development. – V. Santura[9] V. Santura when writing new songs mostly [...] release from the influence [...] – even if the music you like to listen naturally leaves a trace. [24] As a musician, he is heavily influenced by his collaboration with Celtic Frost. [24] For him, black metal is defined primarily by the atmosphere and the feeling of music, which also includes a very dark, mystical, occult aura. But you can create your own new worlds without repeating the cliché heard a thousand times – even if it is very difficult. [24] He does not feel associated with legal satanism, for he simply cannot believe the devil as a true present entity, therefore only symbolic, atheist satanism is taken into account; it may also [a] ber also with [...] largely unrecognized, for example, the social darwinist aspects of Anton Szandor LaVey [...] contrary to what the Members of the Group consider themselves free spirits. [24] Eidolon's material was also inspired by authors such as Peter Carroll and Aleister Crowley,[25] based on the Crowley ritual, also based on As the World Keels Over from the album Ylem.
