Anwar Ibrahim said if emulates Umno's reaction to the "celaka" (damned) remark, they would need to storm Parliament on a regular basis.

"If that (Umno's reaction) is to be a measurement, how many times would we need to storm Parliament due to the rude attitude and statements by Umno leaders and ministers?

"But we cannot do that," he told journalists at the sidelines of his daughter’s wedding in Kajang this afternoon, according to KiniTV.

He was responding to Umno Youth's storming of the state assembly after Seri Delima state assemblyperson RSN Rayer labelled the party "celaka" in the house.

Anwar said if Umno was upset with Rayer, they should instead move a motion against him in the state assembly.

Likewise, Anwar said he had been subjected to repeated attacks and accusations including qazaf (adultery) by BN for more than a decade.

"Can I use this to kick Umno? Of course not. We need to respect the process and rule of law," he said.

'Malay does not equal Umno'

Aside from the storming of the state assembly on Wednesday, Umno Youth members had also protested outside the DAP headquarters in where they tore down a signage and threatened to torch the building on Thursday.

The following day, Umno Youth threw flying kicks and eggs at the Kuantan DAP office and damaged its signboard with sticks.

Umno Youth members had declared the insult against the party as an attack on Malays and Muslims.

However, Anwar rubbished this, stating: "Umno is Umno, Malays are Malays, since when did robbers of the rakyat become champions of Malays?"

Anwar also urged Home Minister and the police to take action against the acts of violence.
