A CHARMING, CONVERTED MILL ON THE BANKS OF THE RIVER TYNE DESCRIPTION The Old Mill is a magnificent, A-Listed, converted mill house, thought to date from the mid-18th century. It occupies an enviable position on the banks of the River Tyne and has been converted to an exceptional standard. The mill retains many of its original features from when it was a working, commercial building, including the mill stones, working gears and parts which can be seen in both the first floor sitting room and the ground floor games room. The original water wheel is still attached to the house on the south elevation. The current owner has upgraded the accommodation internally with a new kitchen and has carried out extensive works in the grounds.

The property is approached up a flight of external stairs which lead to the front door and into the porch. The front hall has a WC and leads through part-glazed doors into the sitting room. This houses the former mill stones and has a wonderful view over the river, a door out onto a decked area and steps leading up to the kitchen. The kitchen, which was installed in 2013 has an excellent range of wall and floor units and incorporates a double Belfast sink. There is a 4-oven Aga, dishwasher and integrated fridge freezer. There is a central island unit with built-in chopping board, integrated wine cooler and concealed bin as well as drawer and cupboard space. The worktops are all marble.
