With the win, Baylor improves to 30-2, marking the sixth season in school history with 30+ wins. The Lady Bears advance to their fifth Big 12 Championship title game and improved to 5-2 in Big 12 Championship semifinal contests. Baylor last appeared in the Big 12 Championship game in 2009, when it defeated Texas A&M, 72-63. BU is now 19- 12 in all-time Big 12 Championship games.

Kansas State dropped to 21-10 this season. The Wildcats also fell to 2-4 in Big 12 Championship semifinal contests and 14-15 in all-time Big 12 Championship games.

Baylor head coach improved to 294-78 in her career. Kansas State head coach Deb Patterson’s fell to 300-174 in her career.

Baylor has now won 10 consecutive contests against Kansas State, improving their series record to 15-9 against K- State. Baylor is now 4-2 against KSU in Big 12 Championship meetings.

The No. 1 seed in the Big 12 Championship is now 10-4 in semifinal contests. The higher seed has continued to win every game of the 2011 Big 12 Championship for the first time in league history.

Baylor has averaged a 34-point margin of victory over its two games in the 2011 Big 12 Championship. BU has recorded two of the top four margins of victory in Big 12 Championship history over the last two days. BU’s 33-point margin of victory today ranks fourth on the all-time championship record list and ranks second among Big 12 semifinal contests. Their 35-point margin yesterday vs. Kansas is tied for second all-time in tournament history.

Baylor’s 52 rebounds vs. Kansas State are a Big 12 Championship semifinal record and are tied for fifth in all-time Big 12 Championship games. The Lady Bears’ 22 offensive rebounds are a Big 12 semifinal record and are tied for fourth in all-time Big 12 Championship history. BU outrebounded KSU by 28 boards, which is tied for the largest margin in tournament history and is the best in semifinal history by 10 rebounds.

Baylor’s 23 assists today rank fourth in Big 12 Championship semifinal history.

The Lady Bears shot 70 percent (7-10) from beyond the arc against Kansas State, which is the best 3-point shooting mark in Big 12 Championship semifinal history and is tied for third in all-time Big 12 history.

Kansas State’s 11 3-pointers vs. Texas A&M are tied for second in Big 12 Championship semifinal history and tied for seventh in all-time Big 12 Championship contests.

Odyssey Sims’ 4-5 (.800) effort from beyond the arc is tied for the third-best 3-point shooting mark in Big 12 semifinal history for players making a minimum of three.

Baylor continued to hold its opponent to less than 50 percent shooting for the 169th consecutive contest, with Kansas State’s 35.1 percent shooting performance today.

Brittney Griner moved into 14th place on Baylor’s career scoring chart with 1,358 points after putting 21 points today vs. Kansas State. Griner has 40 points in two games of the 2011 Big 12 Championship. Destiny Williams has combined for 39 point in the two games with 18 points vs. Kansas State.

Kansas State’s Kelsey Hill scored a career-high 14 points.
