What is Precision Coursing? Precision Coursing is a new competitive sport where dogs compete in “Sprints” and have their fastest course time recorded. Dogs run the course twice per Sprint (once in each direction). The course is 200 feet long and includes a series of turns to test speed and swiftness. How Does My Dog Earn a Title? Runs are timed! Course time is recorded. A dog’s FASTEST Sprint time will be recorded as their Qualifying Leg. A dog can receive 2 qualifying legs per day, and it takes 3 legs to earn a Novice title. How Do I Sign Up? Open Gate sign-ups, meaning there is no pre-registration required! Competition hours will posted at the Precision Coursing field for each day, so be sure to check it out. Cost: $20/Sprint (includes two runs - one in each direction).

2019 PREMIER Premium List 19 1. Nosework trials will include a pre-trial for the levels being run. Dogs need to pass the pre-trial for the level they are competing in. Dogs may be entered prior to passing, but must pass the pre-trial prior to competing that day. If the dog has passed on ORT in the applicable odor please submit a copy of proof. 2. Individual element classes are divided into Levels “N”-“E” and further divided into “A” and “B” sections depending on the experi - ence of the dog and/or handler. Be sure to check the rules regarding the divisions. For these classes, dogs will only be searching the elements chosen. 3. Full Nosework Trials are divided into Levels “N”-“E” and further divided into “A” and “B” sections depending on the experience of the dog and/or handler. These trials contain all four elements. Each element passed earns a leg toward a title in that element. 4. Handler Discrimination. One glove will be used and must be provided by the handler. 5. All entries must be submitted on the current “Official UKC ® Nosework Trial Entry Form”. 6. Use a separate entry form for each dog entered in a club's event. 7. Nosework events are open to all UKC registered breeds and mixed-breed dogs with a valid Performance Listing/Limited Privilege number/Permanent Registration/Temporary Listing. 8. We want you to keep the points earned at UKC Licensed events. Important things to remember: • All dogs entering UKC events must be permanently registered, have a valid Temporary Listing Number, or a Performance Listing/Limited Privilege number. • Dog not UKC registered? Apply for a Temporary Listing Number (TL) online at www.ukcdogs.com/tl-numbers. (TL fees are non-refundable, non-transferable and do not apply to the cost of permanent registration.) • All entry forms must be completed and signed.
