Weather Closure Information The District office has released the following updated information for parents regarding weather closures. In the event of a weather forecast predicting possible snow or ice below the 1000-foot elevation, designated staff take to the road between 4 and 6:30 a.m. to assess travel conditions on the bus routes. They also take radar maps and forecasts into account, and make a determination by 6:30 a.m. at the latest as to whether schools will be closed, on delay, or operating as usual. In the event of a weather closure, scheduled athletic games, practices, after-school activities, and building rentals are automatically canceled. If the weather causes a delayed start, morning kindergartens are canceled. Information can be found on the District’s website at www.sps.lane.edu, or by visiting Ridgeview’s website at http://blog.sps.lane.edu/ridgeview/ under the Parent Information tab of our website for Inclement Weather Information and school bus routes on snow days.
