Celebrate Small Town Charm at the Phoebus Fall Festival October 10

Hampton, VA- On Saturday, October 10, celebrate a return to simpler times at the Phoebus Fall Festival. The event, taking place 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., will feature a live music, arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, a doggie costume parade, pie eating contest, children’s activities, and more.

New this year is the Craft Festival, taking place on Mellen Street. Eight craft beer vendors will be offering two selections a piece (16 beer tastings total) to festival attendees. There will also be wine available. Participating craft beer vendors include AleWerks Company, Bold Rock Hard , Devils Backbone Brewing Company, Goose Island Beer Company, Legend Brewing Company, O’Connor Brewing Company, Smartmouth Brewing Company, and St. George Brewing Company. Cost is $25 for 16 tastings or $6 full pour.

Live musical entertainment will take place throughout the day, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Scheduled artists include Don Butcher, Wasted Presley, and Mason Brown. Other entertainment highlights for the day includes the Betty Smith School of Dance, Hampton Roads Philharmonic, Karla Grase, Annie Wade Band, and Desert Wind Belly Dancers.

This year, all of Mellen Street will be closed for the Vendors Market (featuring over 30 local crafters). Community organizations, including Sentara Hospital (with breast cancer and senior living information) and Phoebus Volunteer Fire Company will also be on-site chatting with festival attendees.

At 1:00 p.m., the Phoebus Fall Festival goes to the dogs with the Doggie Costume Parade and Costume Contest! Register your pooch beginning at 10:00 a.m. Other event festivities include a pet adoption from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., a pie eating contest at 12:30 p.m., dance demonstrations, children’s activities, Selfie Photo Station, over 10 food vendors, and more.
