Footnotes KALANISI (IRE) steadied in traffic along the inside while entering the stretch the first time, was unhurried for a mile while saving ground, launched a rally along the inside midway on the turn, angled five wide for clear sailing leaving the quarter pole then closed strongly in the middle of the track to win going away. QUIET RESOLVE stalked the early pace while three wide, edged closer from outside on the turn, made a run to challenge in upper stretch, surged to the front gaining a slim lead a furlong out, continued on the lead into deep stretch, but couldn't hold the winner safe. JOHN'S CALL settled in good position just off the early pace, raced inside QUIET RESOLVE along the backstretch, waited briefly for room while behind a wall of horses approaching the top of the stretch, altered course to the outside for room in midstretch and finished willingly to gain a share. MUTAMAM (GB) rushed up to contest the early pace, raced just behind the leader for a mile, closed the gap on the turn, gained a slim lead at the top of the stretch, fought gamely into deep stretch and weakened late. FANTASTIC LIGHT raced in good position while saving ground, edged closer while bumped by CIRO on the turn, lodged a mild bid to threaten in upper stretch then checked behind the leaders in the final twenty yards. CIRO steadied while rank between horses through the opening half mile, checked in tight approaching the backstretch, raced between horses to the turn then improved his position with a mile late rally. MONTJEU (IRE) trailed to the turn then failed to threaten while gaining some ground in the stretch. MANNDAR (IRE) settled early along the inside, raced within striking distance along the backstretch, lodged a mild rally four wide on the turn then flattened out. ALY'S ALLEY sprinted clear in the early stages, set the pace along the inside for a mile and a quarter and steadily tired thereafter. SUBTLE POWER (IRE) was never a factor after breaking slowly. FRUITS OF LOVE failed to menace after breaking in the air at the start. DOWN THE AISLE never reached contention. WILLIAMS NEWS failed to menace while racing wide throughout.
