It’s hard to believe how far we’ve come in 18 months . From closing parks and programs in 2020 to opening two new centers in 2021, we are grateful to all those who helped make this happen! This July, we celebrated the opening of the new Lubber Run Community Center and soon Long Bridge Aquatics & Fitness Center will open its doors . Let the countdown begin!

Lubber Run offers outdoor amenities and courts for kids of all ages . Indoors, there’s a light-filled multi-purpose basketball court and 2nd story track along with spaces for meetings and classes . The facility is home our first full-day preschool program, 55+ Program and our customer service headquarters with staff to help you register for classes and camps, reserve a facility, apply for fee reductions and more .

With the opening of Long Bridge just weeks away, and a celebration to be held in September, we can’t wait for you to experience the pools (yes, more than one!), fitness center and the captivating views of the Potomac . Be on the lookout for our grand opening event announcement! Beginning this fall, we are bringing all our swim classes to this amazing facility . For all classes held at Long Bridge Aquatics & Fitness Center, membership is not required . Wishing you good health, In addition to our new facilities, we are bringing back our programs and will have outdoor and indoor classes along Jane Rudolph, Director with virtual programs as well (they have been very popular) . You’ll see we have a full catalog of over 200 programs Parks and Recreation/Arlington County for you to explore . It’s great to be able to open our centers and get together again .

How to follow through on instruction unsupervised. How to use self-restrain. How to use maximum focused attention when educators are talking. How to be respectful even when no one is watching.
