Attn. All Students! There are 30 students that have not picked up their OCOH Dance refund. Please come to the ASB Office window before school, during lunch or after school to pick up your refund ASAP. Thanks!
RTA will roll out a special $.25cent fare for youths who ride the bus between December 21st – January 12th. Anyone under 18 years old simply needs to flash their school ID, RTA youth ID, driver license or state ID to ride for a quarter to anywhere RTA goes.
1st semester work permits expire January 10th. If you are under 18, you are NOT allowed to work without a current work permit on file. Please be sure to pick up a new work permit application in the Counseling office. Don't delay. Due to the amount of renewal applications received, processing time can be up to 48 hours when renewing your work permit application.
Any student who wears red to the Girls Varsity basketball game TODAY @6:15 will get in FREE! Please come and support your Lady Bulldogs!
Boys Volleyball tryouts will be January 15th and January 22nd from 5-7pm in the gym. No prior experience is needed! If you are interested please stop by Mrs. Valdez in room 607 to add to the volleyball remind. Again, that’s Wednesday’s January 15th and January 22nd from 5-7pm for Boys Volleyball.
The official tryouts for Girls Lacrosse will start January 13th until 17th. You can't try out without a physical. See Coach Valle in the girls locker room for more information."

Did you know that Hemet High's Rubik's Cube team had the fastest time in the entire state of CA last year? Can you solve a Rubik's cube? If you are interested in being on the HHS super star Rubik's cube team, please stop by Mrs. DeWit's classroom this week for more information. Practices will be after school every Friday leading up to the competition date.
Do you enjoy solving challenging math problems? If so, come and take the CA MATH LEAGUE TEST TODAY during your lunch. Please come to Mrs. DeWit’s classroom (Room 602) with your lunch to participate.

Seniors: If you had a lunch pass during first semester it is now expired and you're NO longer approved to leave campus. If you would like to continue to leave campus for lunch then you'll need to pick up an application from Mrs. Daniels in the counseling office

Grad Night tickets are on sale for $50 starting through January 31st. Tickets can be purchased in the ASB office during before school, during lunch and after school. Grad Night is the all night celebration following graduation on May 29, 2020.

***Scholarship Information***
Seniors: The deadlines on the following scholarships are approaching fast, don't wait until the last minute to apply!
CIF Scholar Athlete - One male and one female senior athlete is eligible for this scholarship opportunity. Applications can be obtained from the CIF State Website www.cifstate.org. Applications must be postmarked no later than February 10, 2020. Please see Mrs Daniels in the Counseling office for more information.

Citrus Belt Athletic Scholarship- A minimum of 12 $750 Scholarships are available to area senior athletes. Please see Mrs Daniels in the Counseling office for information on the essay criteria and where to submit your application. The deadline is April 16, 2020.
Gregg Figgins Memorial Scholarship- A $1500 Scholarship is being offered to all graduating Seniors attending school in the Hemet-San Jacinto Valley. You are required to submit an application and write an essay on the topic of "Freedom of the press is not just important to democracy, it is democracy". Please see Mrs Daniels in the Counseling office for the application and essay criteria. Your application must be postmarked by January 25, 2020.
Harmoneers Loretta Austin Memorial Scholarship- A $1,000 Scholarship is being awarded to valley graduating seniors who plan on pursuing a career in vocal or choral music, or musical theater (either in performance, or in teaching or directing). Please see Mrs Daniels in the Counseling office for the application and criteria. Notify the vocal music teacher of your intent to apply by March 1st. Your application must be turned in to the Counseling office by March 15.
Soroptimist Community Service Scholarship- This scholarship opportunity is open to female seniors only. It is to recognize students who will graduate from high school with distinguished service to their school and community and who will be attending a community college, university of accredited private or technical school. Please see Mrs Daniels in the Counseling office for the application and essay criteria. Your application and essay must be turned in to the Counseling office by March 11, 2020.
