On behalf of the City of Burlington, I would like to welcome all RAGBRAI® riders to our beautiful riverfront community, where the rubber meets the road. Our residents and businesses are very excited to be a part of the RAGBRAI® experience, and our hope is that when you hit the Burlington city limits, you feel at home.

About RAGBRAI® 2019

2019 will mark the sixth time Burlington has hosted RAGBRAI®. Previous stops took place in 2009, 2000, 1990, 1984, and 1979 as an ending community. The 2019 Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, which will take place from July 21 to 27, will start in Council Bluffs and end in Keokuk. In between, riders will stop overnight in Atlantic, Winterset, Indianola, Centerville, Fairfield and Burlington. Clocking in at 427 miles with 14,735 feet of climb, the 47th edition of this roving cycling party is the eighth easiest in route history. The 2019 ride is also the sixth shortest and eighth flattest.
