POPCORN 2005!

Don’t let your Pack or Troop be left behind! All new fall popcorn sale is ready to fund your Scouting year. New product mix to maximize your profi ts!

The new popcorn campaign is ready for your Pack, Troop or Crew to claim its share of the $400,000 that will be returned to the Mt. Diablo Silverado Council and units. Last year over 50 units received more than $1000 in commissions to fund their program year and summer activities.

What’s new for 2005? All new prizes and an exciting new product mix! This year the Mt. Diablo Silverado Council will use the new prize program offered by Trail’s End, which includes a gift certifi cate option your Scouts and Cub Scouts can earn. A family popcorn guide is being mailed to all youth members who were part of the sale last year with details of the all-new prizes for 2005. Each Scout or Cub Scout should determine their sales goal and they will be rewarded at each level with the appropriate prize. Also included in the family guide are safety and selling tips for each youth member.

The product mix has also changed this year. Due to an overwhelming request microwaveable Kettle corn will be available as a separate item. This is an exciting new product from Trail’s End that everyone knows will sell well. There will also be a new “top end” product for Chocolate-lovers; test marketing of this $50.00 item has been phenomenal!

When is this year’s sale going to happen? Mark your calendar with these important dates:
