THE CONGRESSIONAL CLUB 2001 NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE, NW WASHINGTON, DC 20009 FOUNDED IN 1908, THE CONGRESSIONAL CLUB has served as non-partisan setting for spouses of members of Congress living in Washington, D.C. and is best known for hosting the annual First Ladies Luncheon. The Club is proud of its distinguished tradition of fostering friendship among the Nation’s leaders, while also serving as a museum and destination for social occasions. For more than one hundred years, The Congressional Club has been the perfect setting for , beginning in 1915 when a congressman’s daughter held her reception at the Club. Since then, tradition has held that the Club was available only to Members and their friends. Until now, that is. For the first time in its rich history, the iconic Congressional Club is available to every couple who wants to celebrate their wedding in a location that honors the best of Washington DC’s past as they look forward to their future together. BOOKING/QUESTIONS: NATALIE THOMAS [email protected] I 202.641.4275 FIRST FLOOR RECEPTION ROOMS The first floor is a collection of five rooms including the Entrance Hall, First Ladies Portrait Room and Archives Rooms. Also located on the first floor is the First Ladies Room, one of the most unique features of the “Club House”. The room houses exact four foot high replicas of the inaugural worn by each of first ladies since Mrs. Abraham Lincoln. In recent years the gowns were created by the same designer who provided the First Ladies with their Inaugural gown.

The First Floor is perfect for welcome receptions, registration or coffee breaks.

SECOND FLOOR BALLROOM This stunning neoclassical ballroom is the centerpiece of the ClubHouse; adorned with American Symbolizism throughout the design, this is truly a DC “insiders” venue. An original Steinway piano is on-site and available for use at an additional expense. The ballroom has hosted presidents, first ladies and other DC dignitaries, from President Woodrow Wilson, to Jackie Kennedy, Nancy Reagan to Michelle Obama. Your event will be absorbed in the history of DC.

The Second Floor is perfect for seated-meals, standing reception and entertainment.

Rental is for 6 Hours and includes use CONGRESSIONAL CLUB PACKAGES RATES of upstairs and downstairs. Tables and Chairs are included in price. EVENING MONDAY-THURSDAY $4,000 - Reservation Deposit: A $750 security deposit is FRIDAY OR SUNDAY $5,000 required to confirm the reservation dates. The reservation deposit is fully refundable following SATURDAY $6,000 the event less damage or overtime charges.

RESTRICTIONS • All events held at The Congressional Club must end by 11:00 p.m. • The Club is a non-smoking facility. • The Club maintains a noise restriction policy. At the Manager’s discretion, an event may be ended if it becomes too loud and/or uncivil. • The Congressional Club maintains a policy of no food or beverages in the First Ladies Inaugural Ball Gown Museum Room.
