Entrance Song: I Want to Walk as a Child of the Light

Collect First Reading: Proverbs 31:10-13

When one finds a worthy wife, her value is far beyond pearls. Her husband, entrusting his heart to her, has an unfailing prize. She brings him good, and not evil, all the days of her life. She obtains wool and flax and works with loving hands. Penitential Act She puts her hands to the distaff, Glory to God (from of St. Ann) and her fingers ply the spindle. She reaches out her hands to the poor, and extends her arms to the needy. Charm is deceptive and beauty fleeting; the woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Give her a reward for her labors, and let her works praise her at the city gates.

Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 128, setting by Haugen

The annual 2020 Pontifical Good Friday Collection

has been rescheduled in our parishes for November 14 & 15 800 years ago, the Roman entrusted the guardianship of the Holy Land of the Christian religion to the Holy Land Friars of the Order of St. Francis, creating what is now known as the Custody of the Holy Land. The Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America is run by the Custody’s friars based in America. Guarding the places sanctified by Jesus’ presence, the friars have the task of leading celebrations in the sanctuaries, according to the annual liturgical calendar and of maintaining the structures functioning properly. To support this Pontifical effort, we normally donate the collection on Good Friday to the Commissariat of the Holy Land. Due to Easter services being canceled by COVID-19, we were unable to do this then. But we can do this now. Please make a donation through this second collection next weekend. Checks may be made payable to the Parish to be included in our one donation from the Parish through the Archdiocese to the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land. 4 TWO PARISHES ~ ONE SHARED CATHOLIC FAITH COMMUNITY Readings for the week of November 15, 2020 WHAT’S COMING UP?
