GOVERNOR Miami, Florida 33172 SECRETARY For Immediate Release Contact: Tish Burgher January 14, 2021 (305) 470-5277 | [email protected] Closures on I-95, I-395, SR 836 and Adjacent Ramps MIAMI, Fla. – The following closures on I-95, I-395, SR 836, adjacent ramps and local roads will be scheduled as noted below: I-95 Closures • Thursday, January 14, Friday, January 15 and Monday, January 18 Through Friday, January 22 - Up to four lanes on southbound I-95 from NW 29 Street to NW 8 Street will be closed nightly between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The closures on Fridays will occur between the hours of 11 p.m. and 11 a.m. • Thursday, January 14, Friday, January 15 and Monday, January 18 Through Friday, January 22 - Up to four lanes on northbound I-95 will be closed nightly from NW 8 Street to NW 29 Street between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The closures on Fridays will occur between the hours of 11 p.m. and 11 a.m. Diversion of Northbound I-95 Traffic to Exit 4A • Thursday, January 14 and Friday, January 15 - All three travel lanes on northbound I-95 will be closed just north of SR 836 between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Thursday, and between the hours of 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. on Friday. Drivers traveling on northbound I-95 will be diverted to the eastbound I-195 ramp (Exit 4A) just after SR 836 to reconnect with northbound I-95 at approximately NW 23 Street. Southbound I-95 Ramp to Eastbound I-395 Detour • Thursday, January 14, Wednesday, January 20 and Thursday, January 21 - The northbound I-95 ramp to eastbound I-395 will be closed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can: o Continue south on I-95, exit at the NW 8 Street (Exit 3B) o Turn left on NW 8 Street, continue east on NW 8 Street o Turn left at Biscayne Boulevard to access the A1A North/Miami Beach Ramp NW 8 Street Ramp to Northbound I-95 Closure • Thursday, January 14 and Friday, January 15 - The NW 8 Street ramp to northbound I-95 will be closed as needed between the hours of 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can: o Go east on NW 5 Street, then turn left at NE 1 Avenue o Access the westbound I-395 entrance ramp to I-95 north Southbound I-95 Ramp to NW 8 Street Detour • Wednesday, January 20 through Friday, January 22 - The southbound I-95 ramp to NW 8 Street will be closed as needed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Closures on Friday will occur between the hours of 11 p.m. and 11 a.m. Drivers can: o Continue south on I-95, then exit at the SW 7 Street/Brickell Avenue (Exit 1B) ramp o Continue to SW 8 Street, then turn left to access the northbound I-95 ramp o Continue north on I-95 and exit at the NW 2 Street/Arena (Exit 2B) ramp o Continue north on NW 3 Avenue to connect with NW 8 Street I-395 Mainline Lane Closures • Thursday, January 14 and Saturday, January 16 through Thursday, January 21 - One lane on mainline eastbound I-395 will be closed from I-95 to Biscayne Boulevard between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Closures on Saturday and Sunday will be implemented between the hours of 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. • Thursday, January 14 and Saturday, January 16 through Thursday, January 21 - One lane on mainline westbound I-395 will be closed from I-95 to Biscayne Boulevard between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Closures on Saturday and Sunday will be implemented between the hours of 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. Westbound I-395 Ramp to Southbound I-95 Detour • Thursday, January 14 and Monday, January 18 through Wednesday, January 20 - The westbound I-395 ramp to southbound I-95 will be closed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can: o Go north on I-95, then exit at NW 62 Street o Turn left at NW 62 Street to access the southbound I-95 ramp Southbound NE 1 Avenue Closures • Thursday, January 14 - Southbound NE 1 Avenue will be closed from NE 13 Street to I-395 between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. to allow the contractor to install bridge forms over the roadway. Drivers can: o Go west on NE 14 Street, turn left on North Miami Avenue o Turn left on NE 10 Street to connect with NE 1 Avenue North Miami Avenue Closures • Thursday, January 14, Friday, January 15 and Sunday, January 17 through Friday, January 22 - North Miami Avenue will be closed as needed from NW 13 Street to south of I-395 between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Two lanes will be closed during the day as needed between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Access to businesses between NW 14 Street and NW 13 Street will be provided. Drivers can: o Go east on NE 14 Street, then turn right on NE 2 Avenue o Turn right on NE 11 Street to connect with North Miami Avenue SR 836 Lane Closures • Thursday, January 14, Friday, January 15 and Sunday, January 17 through Friday, January 22 - Two lanes on eastbound SR 836 from NW 17 Avenue to I- 95 will be closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The closures on Fridays will be implemented between the hours of 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. • Thursday, January 14, Friday, January 15 and Sunday, January 17 through Friday, January 22 - Two westbound lanes on SR 836 from I-95 to NW 17 Avenue will be closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The closures on Fridays will be implemented between the hours of 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Eastbound SR 836 Ramp to Northbound I-95 Detour • Thursday, January 14, Friday, January 15 and Sunday, January 17 through Wednesday, January 20 - The eastbound SR 836 ramp to northbound I-95 will be closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can: o Continue east on I-395 o Exit at NE 2 Avenue/Biscayne Boulevard (Exit 2A) o Turn right on NE 2 Avenue, then turn right on NE 11 Street o Turn right on NE 1 Avenue to access the I-95 south ramp Eastbound SR 836 Ramp to Southbound I-95 Lane Closure • Monday, January 18 through Wednesday, January 20 - One lane on the eastbound SR 836 ramp to southbound I-95 will be closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. NW 17 Avenue Ramp to Westbound SR 836 Detour • Monday, January 18 Through Friday, January 22 - The northbound NW 17 Avenue ramp to westbound SR 836 will be closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers on NW 17 Avenue going west on SR 836 can: o Go west on NW 7 Street o Turn right on NW 27 Avenue to access the westbound SR 836 ramp Daytime/Nighttime NW 7 Avenue Lane Closures • Thursday, January 14, Friday, January 15 and Sunday, January 17 through Friday, January 22 - One southbound lane on NW 7 Avenue will remain continuously closed from NW 14 Street to NW 15 Street until 8 a.m. on Friday, January 22. A second southbound lane will be closed on weekdays between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. During the closure of the second lane, drivers will be diverted to the median lane until they clear the work zone. Please note that this schedule may change due to bad weather or other unforeseen conditions. The work is part of the I-395/SR 836/I-95 Design-Build Project that will reconstruct the I-395 corridor from the SR 836/I-395/I-95 (Midtown) Interchange to the MacArthur Causeway Bridge, including the construction of a Signature Bridge over NE 2 Avenue and Biscayne Boulevard; double-deck SR 836 from west of NW 17 Avenue to the Midtown Interchange and the replacement of the concrete pavement on I-95 from NW 8 Street to NW 29 Street. The new entry of foreign nationals into Japan under these two tracks will not be permitted and the relaxation of restrictions on movement during the period of 14-day quarantine through “Business Track” will no longer be permitted for Japanese nationals and foreign nationals with the status of residence until the state of emergency declaration is lifted. Note 1: The quarantine measures mentioned above will be implemented at 0:00 am (JST) on January 14, 2021. Note 2: Holders of valid visas already issued under “Business Track” or “Residence Track” are in principle permitted to enter Japan until 0:00 am (JST) on January 21, 2021, except for those who have stayed in the United Kingdom or the Republic of South Africa within 14 days prior to the entry into Japan.
