1 In the name of God Amen The last daie of June in the yeare
2 of oure lorde god One thowsand sixe hundred I Anne Digbie of Stoke Dry in the County
3 of Rutland widdowe of good and perfect memorie (god be thanked) doe ordeine and make
4 this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge Firste I comend my
5 sowle into the hande of almightye god and my bodye to be buryed in the Channcell of the
6 parrishe churche of Stoke Drye aforesaid in the Tombe of my husband deceassed
7 Item I give to my Sonne Watson one of my Broode Mares whiche he will chuse Item
8 I give to my Daughter Watson my guilt salte Item I give to their Children to be
9 equally dyvyded amongest them Tenn poundes Item I give to my Daughter Anne
10 Norwiche a guilt Bowle Item I give to my Sonne Dudley and to my Daughter Dudley
11 and to their three children Tenn poundes to be equally dyvyded amonge them Item I
12 give to my Sonne Maynwaringe Five poundes and to my Daugher Maynwaringe five
13 poundes and to their Children to be equallye dyvyded amonge them Tenn poundes in all
14 Twentie poundes which they have latelie borrowed receyved and had of me Item I give to
15 Granndchilde Everarde Digbie one broude baye trottinge Fyllye which he latelie had from
16 me and that other yearelinge Fillie which was of the same olde Mare of myne in the upper
17 Halliocke Alsoe I give to him one Frame of Tymber ordeined for a Rooffe for the Corne
18 Chamber Alsoe I doe forgive him that Sixescore poundes of Debte which were dewe unto
19 me by my Sonne Everard Digbie deceased Soe that my said granndchilde Everarde
20 Digbie doe permitte and suffer my Executor quicklie to have egresse and regresse to
21 take and remove all suche goods as doe belonge unto me and are \to be/disposed by my last will
22 and Testament and doe not challenge anie Recompence for default or Reparacions or by
23 ympeachement of waste done by me or my assignes Item I give to the rest of my Sonne
