Community Center Director Report – December 11, 2019

The Township Community Center (BTCC) celebrates the beginning of the holiday season with several festive special events. The month of December began with our annual house decorating event on Friday, December 6th. Several families joined staff at BTCC and indulged on a feast of candies and icings as they decorated their gingerbread homes. Houses all around the Township were lit and decorated for the Holiday House Decorating Contest. Our “judges” went out on Tuesday, December 10th to find our 3 best homes! Our final holiday event of Milk & with Santa will take place on the evening of Friday, December 13th. Children will decorate cookies, make crafts and visit with Santa that evening. The holiday season has certainly arrived in Bethlehem Township.

The community center will have a few modifications to our normal schedule during the next few weeks. The changes are as follows:

Tuesday, December 24th – ( Eve) – 5:30am-12pm Wednesday, December 25th – (Christmas Day) – Facility Closed Tuesday, December 31st – (New Year’s Eve) – 5:30am-12pm Wednesday, January 1st – (New Year’s Day) – 10am-2pm

The community center will be offering some fantastic special events in the New Year. A few of those include:

BTCC Time to TRIathlon – Sunday, January 26th - 7:30am - This event will include a 10 minute swim; 30 minute spin and 20 minute treadmill run! A small taste of what a triathlon includes, but inside the community center.

Moving Forward with a Stronger Core – Thursday, January 30th – 6:00pm - A workshop provided by St Lukes Physical Therapy

BTCC offers a plethora of opportunities for personal/group exercise, family enjoyment, and healthy fun for Township residents. The Winter Township Newsletter/BTCC Brochure will be in residents’ mailboxes shortly with classes scheduled to begin mid-January. The full catalog is available for viewing on our website: www.bethlehemtownship.org. The website is a perfect starting place to find initial information regarding BTCC membership options, hours of operation, exercise/fitness opportunities, and special events that will be conducted at the community center. The front desk staff is always available to answer any questions regarding all community center activity.

On behalf of my entire staff at the BTCC, I would like to wish the entire Bethlehem Township community a happy holiday season. We sincerely appreciate the continued support and tremendous commitment that residents of Bethlehem Township have shown to your community center over the last year. 2020 promises to be another year of positive fun, healthy fitness, and friendly activities for all at the BTCC.
