INVC NEWS , Finance Minister Captain Abhimanyu said that the announcement made by Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal to give subsidy so as to reduce the rates of electricity would directly benefit lakhs of families in the State. Describing it as a historic decision, he thanked the Chief Minister on behalf of the millions of people of the State. He said this during his interaction with the media persons while inspecting the under construction Museum at Rakhi Garhi in district today. The Finance Minister said that after the reduction of rates, affordable and 24-hour power availability of the power will make life easier for the people especially women, students, agricultural sector and entrepreneurs. He expressed hope that after following the rules and regulations by all the 59 villages of area, people would avail the benefits of ‘Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon’(MGJG) scheme. He said that “I myself would appeal the people of these villages to avail the benefits of MGJG scheme. In response to a question, the Finance Minister said that for the payment of outstanding electricity bill, the State Government has started a unique scheme. Under this, the surcharge and interest of the outstanding bills have been waived off and an easy option has been made to deposit the principal amount through monthly installments. He said that with the efforts of the State Government, all the four power companies of the state have recovered the losses.
