Job Description Job Description Position: Talent Recruitment Strategist Department: Strategic People Initiatives Reports to: Director of Recruitment Location: Central Management Office HOURS: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. FLSA Status: Exempt Mission Statement Uplift's mission is to create and sustain public schools of excellence that empower each student to reach their highest potential in college and the global marketplace and that inspire in students a life-long love of learning, achievement, and service in order to positively change their world. ___________________________________________________________________________________________ SUMMARY Serve as the Talent Recruitment Strategist for the largest charter management organization in Dallas by delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be through the development of local and statewide recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Talent Recruitment Strategist will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and execute recruiting plans Work with Strategic People Initiatives logistics team to understand, define and meet staffing needs Assume a proactive role in increasing the efficiency and organization of recruitment practices Track, disaggregate, and utilize recruitment related data to drive and optimize Uplift’s recruiting efforts Build and sustain college partnerships for undergraduates to teach at Uplift and become certified via Teaching Excellence Work with campus leadership to identify hiring needs, timelines, and next steps Manage the initial application and screening process, ensuring that Uplift Education is represented as an attractive employer Source and screen instructional candidates Solicit constructive feedback from current and future Uplift stakeholders to inform recruitment practices Assist with the sourcing and screening of non-instructional staff as needed Assume a proactive role in increasing the efficiency and organization of recruitment practices Track, disaggregate, and utilize recruitment related data to drive and optimize Uplift’s recruiting efforts Proactively develop a pool of qualified candidates regardless of need Develop and implement social media and e-mail campaigns to prospective applicants Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting Build networks to find qualified passive candidates Utilize Internet-based websites and networks for recruitment purposes: o Post positions to appropriate Internet sources o Improve the company website recruiting page to assist in recruiting o Develop innovative new ways of using the Internet for recruitment o Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, but not required Coordinate and Implement College Recruiting Initiatives Coordinate college recruiting initiatives Revised 09.16 Page 1 of 3 Talent Recruitment Strategist Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition Plan and coordinate all job fairs for organization participation Develop working relationships within colleges to aid in recruiting Give presentations at colleges, attend student group meetings, and increase college awareness of the company before and after career fairs SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) from four-year college or university required. Candidates with a teaching or school leadership background are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants with 2-4 years of recruitment experience with a clear track record of success preferred. Excellent communication, public relations, presentation, and interpersonal skills required. The ability to deliver effective and compelling presentations to groups is required. Must have the ability to adapt to new situations and challenges as well as embrace change and be open to new ideas. Highly qualified candidates will demonstrate a sense of urgency and ability to use data to make sound decisions. COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should be competent in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn and use computer software as necessary. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills a plus. Must be able to quickly learn TEAMS and other platforms used. Ability to use basic office equipment is required. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level is low to high and may have frequent interruptions. There may be activity from other employees and students of a distracting nature. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Satisfactory criminal records check, pre-hire and annually thereafter, if applicable. Must be eligible to work in the United States and provide work authorization. Frequent travel to Uplift campuses and occasional statewide travel.
