Additionally, 100 Gala and Special Gifts Breast Health Outreach Committee volunteers donated countless hours to planning and raising funds through our Program Appointments Annual Benefit Gala. 104

The Power of Pink

Founded in 2011 by Karen Beam Leder, the Power of Pink raises dollars for organizations (including Arlington Free Clinic) that provide breast health education, screenings, mammograms, and treatment to women in the greater Washington area, regardless of their ability to pay. Over the past eight years, they have raised close to $1M for breast healthcare for the underserved. Prior to COVID-19, their flagship workout events took place in October at Equinox in Bethesda and Tysons Corner. This year, the event went virtual with four livestream workouts by Nesfield Performance, and raised over $120K! 26 Arlington Free Clinic Moving Beyond Our Walls I’m happy to report that the PARTNER County Board approved $400,000 SPOTLIGHT in funding that will allow AFC and our Social factors such as access to food, housing, and partners to provide eligible families with employment play a major role in health outcomes.
