LAKE CUNNINGHAM PARK ADDITIONAL RULES & REGULATIONS

LOCATION: This 200-acre park located near Mall is centered around a 50-acre lake, and is home to Water Theme Park and Regional Skate Park. OPERATING HOURS: Open daily 8:00 a.m. to one-half hour after sunset. PARKING: Non-premium parking fee is $2.00 Discount (Senior, Disabled, Military); $6.00 per vehicle; and $18.00 per bus (fees subject to change). Premium parking fee is $6.00 Discount; $10 per vehicle; and $30.00 per bus (fees subject to change). Parking tends to fill up early during the busy season. We recommend that you car-pool and arrive early to avoid parking problems. For more information on group parking passes, inquire at time of reservation. Re-entry is permitted, but not guaranteed. Entrances are located on Tully Road and White Road. ACTIVITIES: Lake Cunningham is stocked with a variety of fish. Fishing is allowed at no charge; however, all fishing laws apply and a fishing license is required if you are 16 years of age or older. The Marina also offers rentals of pedal boats, kayaks and sailboat equipment. Raging Waters Water Theme Park is located in the park. Both the Marina and Raging Waters are open seasonally. NO SWIMMING OR WADING ALLOWED IN THE LAKE. VEHICLE ACCESS: Vehicles are not allowed on service roads, paths or in the picnic areas. However, Rangers may escort vehicles for the purpose of unloading supplies only if time permits. Escort service may also be provided for elderly or handicapped visitors. Vehicles parked in picnic areas are subject to citation. RESTROOMS: Located near the reservable group areas except Meadows End. TELEPHONES: Located at Parking Lot C restroom and some are located at front entrance of Raging Water. MARINA: Located adjacent to Raging Waters. PHOTO PERMITS: Photo permits are required for all commercial photo shoots. This includes professional wedding photographers. Permits can be obtained at Leininger Center, 1300 Senter Road, San José, CA 95112. GENERAL RULES: 1. Loud radios are prohibited in all areas except Cypress Pavilion. 2. Beer and wine are allowed in picnic areas only; no hard liquor. 3. No pets are allowed; this includes ponies. Ponies are allowed only at at specific sites. 4. Picnic areas must be left clean. 5. No helium balloons. 6. Air jumper with City-approved vendor is permitted at reservable picnic sites upon approval by Parks Division office. 7. Dunk tanks are not allowed. 8. No kite flying. 9. Party/Costume characters are not allowed to collect money on City property. 10. Smoking is not allowed in City of San José parks. 11. Events are not allowed in the parking lots. 12. All San José Municipal Codes and State laws apply.

Reservation permit holders must arrive at the reservation site on the date reserved prior to 10:00 a. m. and remain at the site with a copy of the approved picnic application. The site will be opened to the public for general use at 10:00 a.m. if the reservation holder is not present. An adult representative from the group must be present at all times.
