DEATH OF MISS BROWN.- Within just over two months of the death of her brother, Mr. L. W. BROWN, a much esteemed Island farmer, Miss Clara Rosetta BROWN passed away at West Ashey Farm during the weekend. She was 61 years of age and had been an invalid for a long time. She was much beloved in the district, especially among the agricultural community. The funeral took place at St. Matthew's Church on Wednesday, when the service was conducted by the Rev. W. N. MARTIN (vicar of Ryde), assisted by the Rev. V. J. FLETCHER. Miss NUTT accompanied the singing of the hymns "They whose course" and "Abide with me." The mourners were Mr. Percy BROWN (brother), Miss Gladys BROWN (niece), Mrs. CREASEY (niece), Mr. and Mrs. G. RUSSELL (nephew and niece), Miss SMALL, and Mr. I. W. PITMAN, with the following farm hands; Messrs. H. and W. GOLD, and J. WENT senior and junior. There were also present Mr. A. A. WESTMORE, Mrs. A. E. LONG, Mr. J. H. RUSSELL, Mr. J. H. BROWN, Mr. H. BULL, Mr. A. G. SALMON, Mr. E. MORRIS, Mr. and Mrs. W., Miss, and Mr. H. WARNE, Mr. and Mrs. H. BARTON, Miss SHERBOLD, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. KNIGHTON, Miss CASS, Mr. J. E. and Mr. H. W. WHITTINGTON, Mr. G. RUSSELL, Mr. M. and Mrs. MORRIS, Miss BROWN, Mr. HILTON and Mr. Horatio P. MORRIS. The interment was at Ashey Cemetery and choice flowers were placed on the grave. Mr. H. V. TAYLOR carried out the arrangements.
