Their services include education for underserved women and childcare for their children while they study, graduate, and find jobs.

Mark your calendars for the next event for grades 6 through 8: December 11 Sky Zone Trampoline Park in nearby Allendale, New Jersey.

it’s the start of the year and the Menschmakers have already had two events and started volunteering in the community. Our first event hosted in September was centered around S’lichot . Menschmakers and their families participated in activities with the cantor and rabbi, singing songs and listening to a story for the holiday. Rosh Hashanah cards were also made to wish friends and family members a happy and healthy New Year, and the night ended with Havdalah.

On October 2, the Menschmakers volunteered at Richard's Run in Ho-Ho-Kus to benefit the Brittany Silverman Youth Activities Coordinator, Go4theGoal Foundation, which improves the lives of Grades 3 – 5 children battling cancer. Posters were decorated and our Menschmakers cheered on the runners during the race and stood at the finish line handing out water bottles. There was so much energy and positive messages to motivate the runners to keep pushing through.

we still have 7 events left and you don’t want to miss them! Volunteering at Saddle Ridge Riding takes place on November 6 and our Chanukah event is scheduled for December 18. we’re having a great start to the year and i hope to see many of you attend our upcoming events!

GIFT CARDS meeting friends at Panera? Sipping Starbucks? Do you shop at ShopRite, Stop & Shop, Acme or Fairway? Support BHSS with this easy, ongoing fundraiser by buying gift cards to use at these and dozens of other stores and restaurants! Beth Haverim offers a wonderful gift card program. It’s easy and simple if you wish to utilize this program.

There is no additional cost to you, and the temple makes money. As an example, if you purchased a $25 gift card to Panera, the temple earns $2.25 on that card. If you purchased a $25 ShopRite card, the temple would earn $1. Just think, for every $100 of Shoprite cards purchased, the temple earns $4. If every family participated in this fantastic program, the temple has the potential to earn over $20,000 a year. All we would need is for each family to purchase $100 in Shop Rite cards or something else that you prefer. everyone needs food in their house.
