2018/19 – 24 Mr Graham Field was co-opted as a Member of the Parish Council.

2018/19 – 25 Confirmation of Minutes

It was proposed by Cllr Orchard, seconded by Cllr Burden and RESOLVED that the Minutes of the Meeting of Laneast Parish Council, held on Monday 7th January 2019, be confirmed as a correct record of that meeting. Unanimous. Carried.

The Meeting Minutes were duly signed by the Chairman.

Public Representation Session - Cllr Simmons declared an interest in this matter.

One Member of the public addressed the meeting in relation to Planning Application 19/00307. The Members were advised that the application had been resubmitted with a reduced size. Planning Department have indicated that they are content with the amended plan.

It was confirmed that the excavation of the site would be completed in one action and that ‘run-off’ prevention measures had been put in situ. It was however, advised that there would be a requirement to move one tree (not part of the planning application) due to the same being dead.

2018/19 – 26 Financial Matters

The Parish Council’s Schedule of Payments was considered by the Members. It was proposed by Cllr Orchard, seconded by Cllr Simmons and RESOLVED, that the Schedule of Payment would be accepted. Unanimous. Carried.

Members discussed the on-going website costs, highlighting the fact that these were substantial for a Parish with a small precept. Cllr Parsons is to enquire whether there is scope for ‘small parish’ websites to be supported by the County Council website.

Planning Matters

PA19/12127 – no objection PA19/00307 – no objection PA19/00139 – no objection

Updates Road Repairs – nil Village Entrance Signage - this will be installed within the next 12 months.

Road Sweeping

Cllr Orchard asked if it would be possible for Cormac to drive through the village with its brush truck, so that the mud and leaves could be removed from the roads. It was stated that, in particular, the passing places, either side of the quarry, require to be cleared. Cllr Parsons is to address this request.

Boundary Review

Consideration was given to the incorporation of Laneast Parish, into other parishes. It was suggested that Badgall could be incorporated into Parish and Laneast into Altarnun Parish. Cllr Parsons is to request a questionnaire be sent to the Clerk.

Planning Community Network It was agreed that Cllr Field would attend the next meeting of this group.

The Meeting closed at 20.15 hrs.

Next Meeting: The next meeting of the Parish Council will be held on 13th May and will be the Annual Meeting.
