Activities: 2019-20 1. Celebration of International Day, 21 June 2019 International Yoga Day was celebrated in our college on 21st June, 2019 to promote awareness of yoga and pranayama among students and teachers. Dr. (Mrs.) S. A. Bhide, Director is a yoga who taught various Yogasans to students and staff on this day. Different asanas performed were Surya Namaskar, Pawanmuktasana, Matsayasan, Yogamudra, Kapalbathi, Pranayam, etc. Students and teachers participated in this activity. The session concluded with a peaceful Yoga Geet.

2. Debate on “Yoga Day” An open house debate was organized on 21stJune 2019. Students of communication English skill development course participated in this activity. They were enthusiastic to share their views. The program concluded with a summary of the debate by Abhijet Dehadrai, trainer of English speaking course.

3. Internship and job opportunities for commerce students A guest lecture on “Internship and job Opportunities for Commerce students” was conducted on 29th June 2019. The lecture was delivered by Hemant Golechha, founder Director & Principal Consultant at Extra Insights Research & Advisory Services. He motivated the students to focus on skill sets. According to him students persue B.com/ BBA/BCCA and then opt for MBA or M.Com. but never think of improving their skills. Students who were CA, MBA qualified too do not secure jobs in the market. He said that he was ready to organize internship program for commerce students. Students too expressed willingness to undertake the same. He, therefore, planned to commence the same from July 2019. Students were satisfied with the lecture. It concluded with a vote of thanks by students.

4. Vrukashdindi As per the notification from NSS Director Department of NSS, VRUKASHDINDI was organized on 2nd July, 2019. 32 Students our participated in this dindi. NSS department had organized plantation in the premises of new administrative building of the university.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sidharthvinayak Kane inaugurated the tree plantation drive by planting a sapling. Pro-VC- Dr. Pramod Yeole , Registrar Dr. Vinayak Despande, Finance and Accounts Officer Dr. Raju Hiwase, Dr. Keshav Walke, NSS Director, program officer and SudhaSureshbhaiManiar College of Computer and Management Page 2 of 38 active participation of 400 NSS Volunteers. Earlier NSS department with 400 NSS volunteers and Programme Officers of various colleges in the city organized a „Vrukshadindi‟ wearing traditional attires. Dr. Keshav Walke, NSS Director, Dr. Varsha Bhujabal, District coordinator with other NSS Programme Officers inaugurated the Vrukshadindi which began from LIT premises. V. C. Dr. S P Kane, Dr. Pramod Yeole, Dr. Raju Hiwase with other university officers welcomed Dindi at new administrative building. About 300 various types of well grown saplings of eight ft. height which included Cadamba (Kadamb), Tabebuia Rosea (Rosy trumpet tree), Azadirachta indica ( Kaduneem), Mimusops Elengi (Bakul), Syzygium cumini (Jamun), Cheri, Karanji.

5. Personality Development and English Language Training Course Ms. Yasmeen Sheikh, Trainer conducted Personality Development and English language trainingcourse in our college from 04.07.19 to 13.07.19.

6. Workshop on Digital Result Analysis – Mr. Ashish A. Bawankar A workshop was organized in our college on „Digital Result Analysis‟ on 6thJuly, 2019 for all teaching staff of college. Mr. Ashish A. Bawankar, Officiating Principal and Head of BBA Department delivered the lecture on result analysis in MS Excel. All teaching staff of the college participated in the workshop.

7. Zillah level second prize winner in Bhartiya Sanskruiti Ghyan Puruskar More than 100 students successfully passed the Bhartiya Sanskruti Ghyan Pariksha which was organized by Gyatri Pariwar, Haridwar, to celebrate their silver jubilee. Shri. H.R. Bakharu, President Sindhi Hindi Vidya Mandir and Shri Rajesh Lohiya President, Gayatri Pariwar were the guests of honor. They organized Bhartiya Sanskriti Ghyam Pariksha at 255 schools and colleges from . More than 50,000 students appeared for the pariksha and about 25,000 students appeared from Nagpur. The pariksha was conducted in Hindi, English and Marathi languages. Jyoti Rahagdale of B.Sc. IT 2nd year won Zilla level second prize from our college. She was invited at Gayatri Mandir, Nagpur along with her parents and teacher to receive the award. The program was scheduled on 7thJuly 2019 from 3 to 5 p.m. Success of the program goes to Suhashini Chaurasia who had motivated the students to study, appear for the examination.

8. Celebration of World Population Day World Population Day was celebrated on 11thJuly 2019 in the college premises. Students displayed posters to spread the awareness on population explosion on this day. Sixteen students participated in the event. First prize of Rs.100 was given to Sarita Maharana of BCCA Part II.

9. Celebration of World „No Tobacco Day‟. As per notification ofMinistry of Youth Affairs and Sport, the World No Tobacco day was celebrated in our college by NSS volunteers on 11th July 2019. Various activities were conducted in the college campus like poster competition, Essay Writing Competition, Nukkad Natak etc. Volunteers actively participated in all activities. The topic for Essay writing was SudhaSureshbhaiManiar College of Computer and Management Page 5 of 38 “Say No to Tobacco”, for Poster “Say NO to Drugs” while the Nukkad Natak was based on the title “Akhari Duwa”. On this occasion students took a pledge for “No Tobacco Consumption”. Students took the pledge in English and Hindi. The winner for essay writing was Miss. Devlata Patle (B.Com-II) and for Poster competition was Mr. Pankaj Atkare (B.Sc(IT)-III). Prizes were given away by Dr. Sudha Bhide, Director, of our college.

10. PFMS (Public Finance Management System) One Day Workshop NSS department RTM Nagpur university organized a one day Workshop on PFMS (Public Finance Management System) on 11th July 2019. Ms. Gunjan Kharabe (Programme Officer), Mr. Bhushan Mate, Technical Assistant, attended this workshop.

11. Tree Plantation Tree Plantation programme was organized in our college on 27th July 2019. Around 15 were planted in our college campus viz. Millettia pinnata (Karanja), Azadirachta indica (Neem), Syzygium cumini (Jamun), (Bael), Punica granatum (Anar), Limonia acidissima (kawat), Phyllanthus emblica (Amla), Citrus limon (Nimbu), Ficus bengalensi (Bargad). 200 saplings of these trees were distributed to our students to in their homes.

12. Java Script skill based course JavaScript skill based course was conducted in our college for science students from date 04.08.19 to Sept 2019.

13. Add On Course „C Language from Industrial Perspective‟ Add On Course C Language from Industrial Perspective was conducted in our college for science students from 05.08.19 to 30.09.19.

14. IGNOU courses awareness program An awareness program on IGNOU courses was conducted in the college on 7th Aug 2019 at 12:00 noon. Dr. S.A. Bhide welcomed the guests by giving introducing the speakers. Dr. Y. Venkateshwarlu, Assistant Regional Director, and Mr. Sanjay Patankar, Executive Assistant from IGNOU Regional center, Nagpur, gave information about various IGNOU courses in which students could enroll themselves. They informed that IGNOU offers 230 different certificates, diploma, under graduate and post graduate programs and that all programs except post graduate courses were free for SC and ST students. These programs could be done along with RTMNU degree programs. Students were very excited to know the certificate programs in which they could enroll. Some of them took admission forms. The program concluded with a vote of thanks.

15. University Level NSS Award Function 2019-20 On 9th August 2019, our college received the R.T.M. Nagpur University best NSS College Unit and our NSS Program Officer, Ms. Gunjan Kharabe received the Best Program Officer Award for the year 2019-20. The awards were given away by Dr. Vinayak Deshpande, Officiating Pro-vice Chancellor. The Chief guest was Mr. Sunil Deshpande, social worker from Lawada Village, Amaravati. Mr. Keshaw Walke, NSS Director, RTM Nagpur University was also present.

16. Yuva Mahiti Doot Workshop A workshop on “Yuva Mahiti Doot” was organized in our college on 10th of August 2019. Shri. Sham Diwan and Shri Pravin Thakur delivered an informative talk on all government schemes available for students viz. student‟s rights, youth rights, women‟s rights, caste category rights, minority rights, villager‟s rights, farmer‟s rights etc. They also acquainted our students with the mobile application „Yuva Mahiti Doot‟ and helped them to download and register themselves.

17. Celebration of Independence Day, 15th August, 2019 Independence Day was celebrated in our college on 15th August, 2019. Flag hoisting was at the hands of Dr. S. A. Bhide, Director, of our college, followed by the National anthem. Patriotic songs were played. All students and staff attended the function. Sweets were distributed to the invitees and students.

18. Lecture on “Student Development Program” for teaching staff A Faculty Development Program on “Student Development Program” was organized on 19th Aug 2019 for teaching staff. Faculties of VMV Commerce JMT Arts & JJP Science College, Zulekaha College and Usha Ben Thakar College participated in the program. The speaker of the program was Dr. Shubhangi Puranik, Assistant Professor, Modern College, Pune. Modern College Pune was recipient of Potential for Excellence twice by NAAC . She is a recipient of best student Development officer award by Pune University. She described all the activities she undertook as a Student Development officer. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. S.A. Bhide.

19. NSS Workshop on `Pledge for Life'- Tobacco Free Youth Campaign As per direction of Youth and Sports Minister of , NSS Department RTMNU organized a one day workshop on 23 August 2019 in collaboration with Sambandh Health Foundation at Gurunanak Bhavan. Tobacco is the largest preventable cause of death in the world and in India. Sambandh Health Foundation works on advocacy to bring about strict control on tobacco usage. They also work with the education departments and the police for implementation of laws, particularly because they relate to children. All participants took a pledge for „No tobacco consumption‟. Ms. Gunjan Kharabe (NSS Programme Officer) and two volunteers, Mr. Pawan Lakade and Mr. Piyush Padole actively attended workshop.

20. Rally On Preventing Environment From POP Ganesh Annual Ganpati festival brings concern for the environment as thousands of idols that are immersed in rivers and lakes at the end of the festival threaten the environment. The chemicals from the colors of the idols cause serious damage to aquatic animals. Our college took a small initiative by organizing a rally to create awareness in the vicinity about environmental damage by using POP Ganesh Murti on 27 August 2019. 110 volunteers participated in the rally that covered the area around Surya Nagar and Mini Mata Nagar. Volunteer‟s gave the message “Mati Chi Murti Basava, Paryavaran Vachava” and also displayed different posters to save environment. Volunteers interacted with people and tried to convince them to purchase only clay idols.

21. Fit India Movement launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi With the aim to promote fit and healthy living, PM Modi emphasized on the need of fitness in today‟s time. On the occasion of Khel Diwas or National Sports Day, celebrated on August 29, 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave Indians the gift of „Fit India Movement‟. As per the notification from NSS department RTMNU, live telecast of “FIT INDIA” was shown to the volunteers. They actively participated in this and took a pledge for daily exercise and yoga.

22. Kolhapur and Sangli flood relief Participants As per notification received from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaji Nagpur University, NSS department collected various needy items for Kolhapur and Sangli flood relief. Students and staff of our college too contributed and collected rice, wheat, cereal, clothes and other needy items and sent these to the NSS department on 31st August 2019.

23. Celebration of Teachers‟ Day and Fresher‟s Party Teachers‟ Day and Fresher‟s party was celebrated in our college on 5th September, 2019.

24. Participation of Volunteers Lead In Flood Relief Efforts Two NSS volunteers from our college, Mr. Piyush Padole and Mr. Pawankumar Lakde of our college were selected for the camp that participated in Flood Relief Efforts organized during 6 - 10 September 2019. 30 volunteers, of RTM Nagpur University, one program officer and NSS Director Dr. Keshav Walke went for this camp. Having played active roles in relief collection drives, numerous college students were mobilized for the post-flood clean-up in affected areas of Telvad district Sangli. Food packets, items of daily use like dry ration, clothes, soap, sanitary napkins, medicines of regular use, powder, bleaching powder, hand wash, sanitizers etc. were distributed to the affected people at various places and the team was also involved in rescue operations.

25. One day workshop on “How To Become CA” One-day workshop on “How to Become a CA” was organized by Department of Commerce of our college on 16th September, 2019. Four Resource Persons (1) CA Suren Duragkar, Chairman ICAI Nagpur Brach. (2) CA Kirit Kalayani Vice Chairman, ICAI Nagpur Branch. (3) Sanjay Agrawal Chairman WICASA, Nagpur Branch, spoke on this occassion. (4) CA Renuka Borole active member, Nagpur Branch were invited for this workshop. They guided the students on the modalities of “How to Become a CA”. Teachers as well as students actively participated in the workshop.

26. Guest Lecture by Mr. RohanTanksale Mr. Rohan Tanksale, Trainer, ICFAI Business School delivered a talk in our college on 17thSeptember, 2019. He spoke on “Entrepreneurship development and how to start a business using digital platform”. He discussed various issues regarding student development specially related to requirement for higher education. The program was coordinated by Mr. Aishwary Wasnik, Senior Marketing Officer, ICFAI Business School. All students actively participated in the program.

27. Guest Lecture by Mr. Rajendra Nikam Police Inspector Rajendra Nikam delivered a talk on "Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances" in our college on 18thSeptember, 2019. According to him, listening to children and youth is the first step to help them so that they grow healthy and safe. Drug abuse is one of the most serious health problems in Nagpur. College students studying in higher education such as MBA. MBBS, Engineering were suffering from drug abuse. Besides causing serious diseases it has several side effects in the form of economic loss, antisocial behavior such as stealing, violence and crime besides social stigma and overall downfall of the society. Students from most of the colleges experience problems due to drug use, regardless of age, race, background, or the reason they started using drugs in the first place. Some students experiment it due to high curiosity, to have a good time, because friends were indulging in it, or to ease problems such as stress, anxiety, or depression. However, it‟s not just illegal drugs, such as cocaine or heroin that could lead to abuse and addiction. Prescription medications such as painkillers, sleeping pills,

SudhaSureshbhaiManiar College of Computer and Management Page 15 of 38 and tranquilizers could cause similar problems. He explained the concept of drug abuse by giving various real life examples. He found that girl students were more involved in drug abuse practices than boys in Nagpur. At present, only 12 officers were appointed and working in Narcotic department of Nagpur. Therefore he shared his personal contact number with the students and asked them to put a massage if they found any illicit drug trafficking in their area. He also shared the process of destroying drugs. Students and teaching staff actively attended the program.

28. Guest lecture on National Social Responsibility A guest lecture on National Social Responsibility had been organized on 18 Sept 2019. The speakers of the program were Dr. PratimaShastri, Dr. AnaghaNasari and AparnaKulkarni. Guests were welcomed by floral bouquet. They are the member of अपंगमहिलाबालहिकाससन्स्था by आशादीप हदव्यान्सग पुनिवसन कᴂद्र. Dr. Anagha Nasari enacted a skit on “Could anyone give writer for the blind“. She told the students that it was our social responsibility to help blind and needy students. Students could offer to become a writer for the blind students. Writers could also read books for them. Aparna Kulkarni narrated a poem “रायटर देता का कोणी ,एक रायटर? “

Kulkarni and Dr. Anagha Nasari enacted a Bharood on proper nutritious food for students. Dr. PratimaShastri made a presentation on “Diet Investment”. Students were delighted with the information given by the speaker. They also brought nutritious food packets for demonstration and sale for students. Some staff and students purchased these. The program concluded with the vote of thanks.

29. Partsicipation in Training and Placement Officer‟s Meet Suhashini Chaurasia and Dr. Maneesh Deshpande participated in the Training and Placement officer‟s (TPO‟s) meet held on 20th Sept 2019 at LB hotel Sadar Nagpur. The meeting was organized by IBS Business School Pune of ICFAI group. The speaker of the meeting was Dr. Pallavi Murdeshwar, Lead Faculty IBS Pune. The program started at 11:00 a.m. All the faculties of different colleges participated shared their experiences regarding improvement of student placements. Faculty members also shared their view on imparting training to the students which will increase their skills apart from regular academic course. In addition, anonymous suggestion was given to make a report on the meeting and submit to different organizational bodies like University, AICTE, NAAC, DTE to appoint a dedicated person to look after training and placement activity in the college. This would increase the placement ratio of the college. The program ended at 5:00 p.m. with a vote of thanks by one of the faculty members who attended the meeting.

30. GarbaCompetiton at KDM College A group of 12 students) of our college participated in an Intercollegiate Garba Competition „NAVRANG‟ organized in KDM College, Nagpur on 1st October, 2019. Our team won the first prize (Rs. 11000/-) and one best performer (solo) prize (Rs. 500/-) among 11 participating groups from different colleges. The students were trained by Mr. Hiren Shah, Assistant Professor.

Celebration of 50th NSS foundation Day&Inauguration of NSS Unit of Our College NSS Unit of our college celebrated NSS foundation day in college premises with enthusiasm on 1st October, 2019. Dr. Sudha Bhide, Director cut the ribbon and inaugurated the function on this occasion. She addressed our students about how to work in group and keep up the motto “Not Me, But You” in mind. She also elaborated on importance of NSS Unit and its functions. NSS encourages participation of youth in National development community service.A video based on all the events organized by the NSS unit throughout the year was showen to students. The function was organized successfully by the students and teachers through their combined participation.

32. Participation in Gandhi Jayanti Rally of RTMNU On the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a Rally was organized from Savidhan Chowk to University Administrative Building under the direction of Nagpur University to join, honorable Vice Chancellor, Dr. Siddhartha Vinayak Kane, on 2ndOctober, 2019. NSS Program Officer‟s with 80 NSS volunteers actively participated in the rally.

33. Celebration of Gandhi Jayanti On 2nd October, 2019 (Gandhi Jayanti), a cleanliness drive was organized in our college on 3rd October, 2019. The program started with Gandhiji‟s most favorite song “Vaishnav Jan ToTene Kahiye”. Everyone including Principal, Teaching staff, non-teaching staff and students cleaned the college premises. All NSS volunteers made commendable efforts in making the event successful. The program concluded with Gandhiji‟s most favorite “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram” i. e. Ram Dhun.

34. Bhartiya Sanskruti Gyan Pariksha Bhartiya Sanskruti Gyan Pariksha was conducted in our college on 23rd Nov 2019. 102 students of Science, Commerce and Management department appeared for the exam. Bhartiya Sanskruti Gyan Pariksha is organized by Akhil Vishwav Gayatri Pariwar (Shantikunj) Haridwar. The books named Sanskruti Bhaskar were distributed among students to study for ten days. This is a holistic education program of teaching and then testing the student in moral values, cultural and ancient science and technology of India. This program is a part of multifarious activities of Shantikunja a world famous international spiritual organization known as All World Gayatri Pariwar created by the great ascetic Pt. Sri Ram Sharma Acharya. The mission of Bhartiya Sankruti Gyan Pariksha is to mold the basic structure of education in Indian colleges. They are modulating the curriculum in accordance to the demand of the times. Colleges need to strongly value “peaceful coexistence with people from other cultures” and “pride for the country, the national anthem, and national flag.” Based on the performance in the exam students were given participation certificates. The course imbibes human values and professional ethics in students.

35. Himalaya Face Wash Activity Madison Turnt, Executive, Himalaya Pvt. Ltd company, conducted Himalaya Face Wash program in our college on 13th December, 2019. The aim of this activity was to enrich the lives of students by giving them a “Clear Face Confidence”. This activity helps the youth‟s self- esteem which in turn helps them grow as strong and confident individuals. Three activities 1) Throw ball in box 2) Arrow on mark and 3) Selfie were organized on the ground floor and free kits worth Rs. 500/- were distributed to winners. Face wash and Face cream were also distributed to participants.

36. Faculty Development Program on „NAAC – Tips for Preparation‟ A Faculty Development Program on “NAAC – Tips for Preparation” was organized on 24thDecember, 2019 for teaching staff of our college. The speakers of the program were Dr. Joshi, Director, Prerna College and Mrs. Mahajan, IQAC Coordinator, Prerna College, Nagpur. Both speakersdescribed in detail all preparations required for NAAC. The program concluded with a thanks speech by Dr. S.A. Bhide.

37. Yoga Workshop in collaboration with Dev Sanskriti University, Shantikunj, Haridwar, Uttarakhand Yoga workshop was organized in our college in collaboration with GayatriPariwar, Nagpur on 30th December, 2019. Students from Dev Sanskriti University, Shantikunj, Haridwar, SudhaSureshbhaiManiar College of Computer and Management Page 22 of 38 Uttarakhand pursuing Masters in Yoga conducted the workshop. They conducted it as a part of their internship program. 74 students of our college participated in the workshop. Three instructors namely Ms. Jyoti Saini, Ms. Punnya Sharma and Ms. Kanupriya began the workshop at 11 am and gave instructionson Yoga and Meditation to students of our college. Students enthusiastically followed the instructions given by them and performed Yoga and meditation.

38. De-addiction and Scientific Spirituality program in collaboration with Dev Sanskriti University, Shantikunj, Haridwar, Uttarakhand 39. De-addiction and Scientific Spirituality program organized in our college in collaboration with GayatriPariwar, Nagpur on 30th December, 2019. Students from Haridwar pursuing B. Sc. (IT) conducted the program. 80 students from our college participated in the program. Ms. SheetalPareek, Ms. Madhavi Sharma and Ms. Kritika Das started the program at 12 noon with a presentation to spread awareness on consuming drugs by college going students. Students were keen in gathering knowledge delivered by them.

40. Annual Social Gathering “PRAYAS 2020” Several sports and competitive events were organized under the aegis of the Annual Social Gathering PRAYAS 2020 from 8th - 11thJanuary, 2020. Games such as Cricket, Carrom, Chess and Badminton were arranged in the sports category. Typing test, Error debugging, , Mehandiand Tradition Day organized in the category of competitive events.

Saraswati Pujan was organized on 11th January, 2020 and sweet Prasad (Shira) was distributed to all students.

The Main Event of “PRAYAS-2020” was held on 19thJanuary, 2020.Adv. C. J. Thakar,was the Chief Guest, Shri. YogeshbhaiPatel,was the Guest of Honor and Dr. S. A. Bhide, Director, inspired the students with their speeches. Mr. Rohan Singh, University Representative, read the annual report of the college.

Dignitaries distributed medals and prizes to gold medalist and silver medalist of sports section (Karate) of session 2019-20.

Fashion Shows, Dance performances, Singing and Drama were enacted by the students. The audience was kept busy by the anchors with jokes and shayries. All the faculties of the college were present throughout the program and maintained peace and discipline during the function. Due to their co-ordination, hard work and determination, PRAYAS 2010 turned out to be a memorable event. At the end of the Annual Gathering prizes were distributed by Mrs. S. A. Bhide, Director to the winners of Dance, Singing, Drama and Fashion show.

41. Blood Donation Camp A “Blood Donation Camp” was organized by NSS wing of our college in collaboration with Hedgewar Blood Bank on 11th January, 2020. Sixteen students and one staff member donated blood. A Certificate of appreciation, donation card, bag and refreshment was given to SudhaSureshbhaiManiar College of Computer and Management Page 28 of 38 each donor as a token of gratitude. All NSS volunteers made efforts to make the blood donation camp successful.

42. Celebration of Constitution Day - Rally

To highlight the importance of the Indian Constitution, and also to spread awareness about the architect Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, 26th November is observed as the Constitution Day of India. Our NSS volunteers participated in a rally which started from Sanvidhan square, through Akashwani square upto the university Law College. NSS Program Officers and 90 NSS volunteers of our college actively participated in the rally. Volunteers and Program Officers of other colleges and a total of 600 NSS volunteers also participated in this rally. Vice Chancellor, Dr. Siddhartha Vinayak Kane, campus garlanded the statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar‟s statue at University Law college square , after which all volunteers took the constitutional pledge.

43. Celebration of Sanvidhan Day As per notification of R.T.M.N.U., Constitution Day was celebrated in our college by NSS volunteers on 27th November, 2019 to create awareness of the constitution of India among students. The program began of around 100 students; all teaching staff & Officiating Principal took a pledge on constitution day in the college campus.

44. Program Officer Gunjan Kharabe selected as Team Manager at State level cultural fest Indradhanush -2019

After receiving letter from Director Dr. Abhay Mudgal, Student development office that Gondawana University , Gadachiraoli is hosting 17th inter university state level cultural fest Indrdhanush 2019 from 2nd to 6th December 201, Miss Gunjan Kharabe was selected as team manager to escort the cultural team of RTM Nagpur university. Students participated in various cultural activities viz. music, drama, elocution, dance, fine arts etc. RTMNU got no. of prizes in various events like music, drama, fine arts, quiz competition etc. through special guest film actor Mr. ShreyashTadpade students enjoyed this camp a lot.

45. NSS special Camp at “Go-VigyanAnusadhan Kendra, Deolapar” A seven day special camp was held at “Go-Vigyan Anusadhan Kendra, Deolapar” from 16th to 22st December, 2019. Fifty students with Ms. Gunjan Kharabe, our NSS Program Officer attended the. The students performed many activities such as prabhat pheri, group building, confidence building, AIDS awareness, spreading cleanliness message, shramadan, Gender Equality Awareness, Vaccination awareness, Dengue Prevention, Superstition awareness, Sex Determination, Traffic Rules Awareness, Impact of Child Marriage, aware villagers about their SudhaSureshbhaiManiar College of Computer and Management Page 30 of 38 rights, cultural activities, collected literacy data and motivated students and villagers for higher education. Awareness movies viz. Toilet and Padman in village and motivational movie “I AM KALAM” was shown to students of Gurukul School. Sex education video and Menstrual Cycle awareness were shown at UdayVidalaya. NSS Volunteers played various games with the students. In Vivekanand School Cybercrime awareness lecture was organized by Police inspector Mr. Borkar. In Zila parishad school a Health camp was organized with Dr. Bhalerao. Our NSS unit was honored to be invited at Pavni Village by Sarpanch Dr. Nakhale for arranging awareness programs in their village. Volunteers took great efforts for this activity. Dr. Nalini Bhojraj, Mr. Sunil Mansinghka, Omkar Joshi, Sushil Thakre, Kanchan Hatwar delivered lectures on various topics such as importance of cow, organic fertilizer by earthworm, importance of organic pesticide, organic farming and making of organic soap and toothpowder in our life, Student intellectual workshop and Entrepreneurship with organic farming. Various activities like Yoga, Pranayam, interacting with Adivasi school and hostel students were also conducted. Mr. KeshavWalke, NSS Direcstor, Nagpur University, visited the camp and enlightened our students on their education and life goals.

46. Walkathon Under Fit India Movement a walkathon was organized on 18th January, 2020 around Surya Nagar area. A total of 210 students and 3 teaching staff participated in rally.

47. Annual Social Gathering “PRAYAS 2020” Several sports and competitive events were organized under the aegis of the Annual Social Gathering PRAYAS 2020 from 8th - 11th January, 2020. Games such as Cricket, Carrom, Chess and Badminton were organized in sports category. Competitive events viz. Typing test, Error debugging, Rangoli, Mehandi and Traditional Day were also organized.

Maa Saraswati was organized on 11th January, 2020 and sweet prasad (Shira) was distributed to all students.

The Annual Event of “PRAYAS-2020” was held on 19th January, 2020. Adv. C. J. Thakar, Chief Guest, Shri. Yogeshbhai Patel, Guest of Honor and Dr. S. A. Bhide, Director, inspired the students with their speeches. Mr. Rohan Singh, University Representative, read the annual report of the college.

Fashion Shows, Dance performances, Singing and Drama were enacted by the students. All the performances proved to be pearls in proper sequence that made a beautiful necklace of achievements. The program was full of entertainment and humor. The audience was kept busy by the anchors with jokes and shayries. All the faculties of the college were present throughout the program and maintained peace and discipline during the function. Due to their co-ordination, hard work and determination, PRAYAS 2010 turned out to be a memorable event.

At the end of the Annual Gathering prizes were distributed by Mrs. S. A. Bhide, Director to the winners of Dance, Singing, Drama and Fashion show.

48. Republic Day Celebration (26th January, 2020) Republic day was celebrated in our college with great zeal and patriotic fervor. Each member of the college was soaked in hues of tri colour and their enthusiasm and joy knew no bounds as they celebrated the sovereignty of the nation. The day was special as it was graced by Adv. Sanjay Thakar, General Secretary of our society as the chief guest. The celebration began with unfurling of the tri color by the chief guest, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The chief guest appreciated the students who were dressed up as Mahatma Gandhi, Jyotiba Phule, Savitribai Fule, Lokmanya Tilak, Lal Bahadur Shastri and Bharat Mata. A cheque of Rs. 10,000/- each was distributed to 20 needy students as scholarship amount from college at the hands of dignitaries. Sweets and snacks were distributed to all students and staff members.

49. Celebration of National Girl Child Day National Girl Child Day is celebrated in India on 27th January 2020 to raise awareness about the rights of girls and to highlight the inequalities that they face in their lives. Gender inequality, one of the major issues in India, needs to be focused on since it exists in several areas including legal rights, education, medical care, marriage, etc. Female foeticide is another major issue that further affects the demographic problems in India. We celebrated National girl child Day by enacting a Skit in our college campus. Dr. S.A Bhide, our Director, also gave valuables guidelines to our students.

50. Faculty development Program on OPAC A Faculty Development Program was organized on 18th Feb.,2020 on OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue System). Archana Randive, Librarian, made a presentation to all the teachers on the manner in which this software could be used to access the college library online. Teachers downloaded the OPAC software and studied the use of OPAC. They were asked to teach it’s use to students
