The RMAC is the fourth oldest conference in the country, and the most historic in the western U.S..

As part of the Centennial Celebration, all-time teams are being selected in 19 RMAC sports.

The RMAC All-Time Volleyball Team was selected by a committee of 14 people, with a representative from each of the confer- ences school's that particiapate in the sport of volleyball. The RMAC has sponsored volleyball since 1978.

"We wanted to celebrate our Centennial by reminding people of the rich history in the RMAC," said Commissioner J.R. Smith. "We've had tremendous student-athletes and coaches over the years, and these all-time teams will reflect some of the best we've ever had," added Smith.

Nebraska-Kearney landed three players on the all-, including Erin Gudmundson, who is being named the RMAC's All-Time Top Player.

"I am shocked," said Gudmundson. "I was fairly lucky to have good players around me. That really boosts your career," added Gudmundson.

The RMAC All-Time Top Coach is UNK's Rick Squiers, who has won six RMAC championships and has a winning percentage of better than 90 percent in conference games.

"When you have players like an Erin Gudmundson and an Erin Arnold, you can rise to a lot of challenges." said Squiers. "It's an honor because I know how many great programs are in the RMAC," added Squiers.

The RMAC's Centennial Celebration will take place on July 11, 2009 at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs. More information to come in the next few months. A new all-time team will be recognized each month leading up to the celebration.
