COMPETITION HIGHLIGHTS UND Softball scores 8 runs over final 2 innings to defeat Boise State for 1st win over a Mountain West program. Men's Tennis wins a program-record 9 straight matches and finishes with the highest winning percentage in program history. UND Football knocks off 3 ranked teams, goes 6-0 at home and advances to the NCAA FCS Playoffs for the 2nd time in school history. Women's Basketball sets a school record with 72 rebounds in a 118-35 rout of Northland College. Hockey Forward Jordan Kawaguchi finishes in the top 3 of the Hobey Baker Award finalists. Head Men's Basketball Coach Paul Sather becomes only the 3rd head coach to reach the Summit League Men's Basketball Title Game in his first year.

3 “We just love everything about UND! We have enjoyed cheering for all the sports with our family and friends. We want to convey to all the athletes how proud we are of them and wish them all the best. Like Coach Berry always says, ‘This is a culture we have here – with the fans and players.’ We are so thankful to be a part of it!”

IMPACT SCHOLARSHIPS PLEDGE YOUR Impact Scholarships help offset the cost of annual scholarships. Gifts to Impact Scholarships are IMPACT not invested; rather, 100% of your yearly pledge will directly benefit a student-athlete scholarship. In 2019 we projected about $230,000 in gifts to Impact Scholarships. In 2020 we are excited to project $25,000/year x 5 $125,000 $315,000. We are moving in the right direction, but with an overall scholarship bill of $5 million, your support to Impact Scholarships is critical. $15,000/year x 5 $75,000 BENEFITS OF CREATING A SCHOLARSHIP • Designate your gift to a specific sport and even a specific position. $10,000/year x 5 $50,000 • Name a scholarship. • Be recognized on the Legacy Wall for the length of your $2,000/year x 5 $10,000 pledge (if your gift is $25,000+). • Meet the student-athlete(s) selected to receive your scholarship. $1,000/year x 5 $5,000 • Receive North Dakota Champions Club Priority Points (must be Champions Club member).

4 ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPS ENDOWMENT Endowed scholarships are an investment into the future, providing IMPACT perpetual financial support that increases over time. To lay the permanent groundwork for our program, we need to increase our $600,000 $22,500 annual scholarship scholarship endowment support for the long term. $300,000 $11,250 annual scholarship

$100,000 $3,750 annual scholarship $30,000 $1,125 annual scholarship

SUPPORTING SUCCESS Ashely Brueggeman played Right Side Hitter/Outside Hitter during the Fighting Hawks 2016-2019 volleyball seasons. As team captain, she finished her volleyball career making UND's top-10 in kills (8th) and points (6th). Brueggeman plans to continue helping her team as Volunteer Assistant Coach while finishing her mathematics/secondary education degree in 2020.

Brueggeman attributes the ability to succeed on the court and in the classroom to her supporters behind the scenes. During the 2019 Champion Builders Reception, she had the opportunity to meet one of her scholarship donors, Jeff McKay. THE CONNECTION Ashley Brueggeman "The scholarships that I received while at UND have meant everything to me. It gave me the (Volleyball) with Jeff McKay rare opportunity to continue playing the sport I love while receiving a great education,” said Brueggeman. “I was also fortunate enough to meet some amazing benefactors, building relationships with the generous and gracious people that made it all possible."

McKay's parents established the James, JoAnn & Jeffrey McKay Athletic Scholarship Endowment in 1992. Since then, the endowment has supported over 10 athletes with athletic scholarships. 5 Athletics MVP Campaign Goal: $75,000

GO ABOVE AND BEYOND TO CREATE CHAMPIONS The cost to support our valued competitors continues to rise. Between travel, academic services and sports medicine treatment, full-ride scholarships require at least $25,000 to maintain.

Currently, more than half of our student-athletes compete without a scholarship but continue to give their time and talent to UND's success.

The ND Champions Club is filling the gap for UND Athletics through the MVP Campaign, an initiative that raises funds for additional athletic scholarships and program support. You can go above and beyond your membership contribution by making a donation to the MVP Campaign.

$100 donation = 3 Priority Points

Your donation will create more financial opportunities for our competitors. Learn more and donate at NDchampionsclub.com/MVPcampaign
