Trails

On Friday and Sunday everyone will follow the same trail. On Saturday you have a choice of trails: they will occasionally cross so you can switch between trails (at your own risk- mwah hahaha). Trail descriptions will be available at registration on Friday 26th.

Saturday Trails: - Short = 7-8 km approximately. Walk/jog around some of the finest views in the Capital of Scandinavia (and yes, we know that pisses you off if you aren’t from Sthlm). - Medium = 12 km or so. We will try to find some shiggy on a scenic route through southern Stockholm. - Long = 16-18 km. The over-achievers can set out to burn some excess energy.

We will have drink stops and you will never be far from the other trails or . Bags can be left on the boat (before 11:30) or in a hash car.

OnOn, The SAH30 Mizman Where do I go?

Friday: Oxen Pub, Malmskillnadsgatan 46. Look for Half-Arrows outside and enter by the sign “Citykonferensen” (there is no actual sign for Oxen). There is an exit from the Underground/Metro station Hötorget very close by.

Saturday/Sunday & accommodation:

The M/S Birger Jarl, Stadsgårdskajen 156 (you can also follow signs for Fotografiska, the Photographic Museum).

Note: the boat is on a cruise between 12:00 and 15:00!

Nearest Underground/Metro station is Slussen ~400 m away. (circled). Be careful, there’s a lot of construction going on and it’s a bit tricky to get around. We suggest that you take the Slussenterminalen exit, then turn right at the street following the orange sign saying “Ersättningsbussar för Saltsjöbanan.” Continue just past bus stop X, then turn left and cross the street on the crosswalk. Turn right on the other side and follow the construction by the quay until you reach the M/S Birger Jarl.

How do I get there?

From Arlanda Airport:

You have three choices if you arrive by air:

- The Arlanda Express trains: Frequent and fast but pricy, they’ll take you from Arlanda to Stockholm Central Station in 20 minutes. The depart from their own station buried deep under Terminal 5, look for signs leading to the escalators. Cost: 280 SEK for one person or 300 SEK for two people (special summer rate). Purchase at yellow ticket machines at the airport, no ticket sales onboard the train.

- The airport coaches are just about as frequent, but take twice the time (about 40-50 min) for a third of the price. They depart just outside the Arlanda arrivals level and arrive to the Stockholm City next to the Central Station. Enter the building and turn right, then go downstairs on the escalators to get to the Central Station and continue down yet another level to get to the Metro. Cost: 99 SEK online or 119 SEK at the white & rainbow colored ticket machines or by the bus driver (card only / no cash).

- The SL commuter trains (pendeltåg). They depart from the Arlanda Central Station by Sky City between terminal 4 & 5 every half hour and arrive to Stockholm C about 40 min later. Cost: 50-72 SEK for the ticket (see below) + 85 SEK as a special “passage fee” to enter/leave Arlanda Airport.

Within Stockholm:

The Stockholm Public Transit System (SL / Storstockholms Lokaltrafik) has an extensive, fast, and frequent network of busses, metro trains (T-banan), and commuter trains (pendeltåg). It runs pretty much 24/7. The metro lines close down for a few hours every night, but there are always surface busses instead.

The network is divided into zones, but because you most likely will stay within zone A (unless you’re taking SL to/from the airport), we won’t get into that now.

The basic tickets are: - 60 minute single zone ticket: 36 SEK - 24 hour ticket valid in all zones: 115 SEK - 72 hour ticket valid in all zones: 230 SEK - 7 day ticket valid in all zones: 300 SEK

Tickets can be bought at ticket machines, metro booths, SL Centers, and certain resellers such as Pressbyrån, 7-Eleven, etc. Please note that they cannot be bought onboard the busses; get your ticket before you board (also see below).

Another option is to pay-as-you-go with an SL Access Card. They cost 20 SEK and can be bought at the same locations as above. You basically fill them with as much SEK as you want and travel until your balance runs out. In return, you get a 30% discount, which means a single zone ticket now costs 25 SEK instead of 36. To travel, just hold the card by a blue plate at the metro gate or on the bus. A single ticket will automatically be added to your card, unless you have a valid one loaded already. You can also load tickets with longer validity onto card at ticket machines and booths, etc.
