Oscar Nominee Timothée Chalamet Chose to Wear Jaeger-Lecoultre at the 90Th Academy Awards Ceremony Oscar Nominee Timothée Chalamet chose to wear Jaeger-LeCoultre at the 90th Academy Awards Ceremony During the 90th Academy Awards ceremony held a few hours ago in Hollywood, Timothée Chalamet wore a Reverso Tribute Duoface watch in pink gold to match his white tuxedo. Following his Golden Globes and BAFTA nominations, Timothée Chalamet was nominated for Actor in a Leading Role for Oscars 2018 thanks to his performance in “Call Me By Your Name”. This was the first Academy Award nomination for the actor who also became one of the youngest Oscar nominee for Best Actor. “Call Me By Your Name” set in Northern Italy in the year 1983 has been receiving praise from critics and fans around the world. Timothée Chalamet plays Elio, a Jewish Italian seventeen year-old who romances his father's older assistant, played by Armie Hammer. Timothée Chalamet has already won the Best Actor Award for his role at the New York Film Critics Circle Award (2017), the Breakthrough Actor prize at the Gotham Independent Film Award (2017), the Rising Star Award at Palm Springs International Film Festival (2018) and the Best Male lead at Independent Spirit Award (2018). About Timothée Chalamet Timothée Chalamet can currently be seen starring in “Call Me By Your Name” for director Luca Guadagnino. He has been named Best Actor by the New York Film Critics Circle and the LA Film Critics Association; was named the Best Breakthrough Performance by the National Board of Review and won Breakthrough Actor at the Gotham Awards; and has been nominated as Best Lead Actor by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Screen Actors Guild, The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, and has been nominated for the EE BAFTA Rising Star Award. He also appears in Greta Gerwig’s “Lady Bird” opposite Saoirse Ronan, and in Scott Cooper’s “Hostiles” opposite Christian Bale and Rosamund Pike. He plays the lead role in “Hot Summer Nights” for director Elijah Bynum which premiered at SXSW in April and will be released by A24 in the Spring. Chalamet recently finished shooting the lead role in Woody Allen's “A Rainy Day In New York” opposite Elle Fanning and Selena Gomez. He recently wrapped filming the title role in “Beautiful Boy” opposite Steve Carrell; the film is directed by Felix van Groeningen and produced by Plan B. “Beautiful Boy” will release by Amazon this fall. He currently shoot “The King” directed by David Michôd. In 2016, Chalamet opened to rave reviews and received Drama League and Clive Barnes nominations and the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Actor for his performance in the world premiere of John Patrick Shanley’s play “Prodigal Son”. He received glowing reviews for his performance in the independent film “Miss Stevens”, starring opposite Lily Rabe for director Julia Hart, which premiered at SXSW in 2016. Other film credits include Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar” and Jason Reitman’s “Men, Women & Children”. Directors wrenching a truly transformative rendition out of their leads can be the difference between a potential big winner fading into obscurity, or being written into history. The class of 2019 appears particularly full of these turns. There might well be as much intrigue in figuring out which will be remembered, as in watching the performances themselves. ‘Unrecognisable as’ awards could go out to Margot Robbie as Elizabeth I in Mary Queen Of Scots; Melissa McCarthy in Can You Ever Forgive Me?; Nicole Kidman in Destroyer; Christian Bale as Dick Cheney in Vice. Others of course have been down this road before. Steve Carell has come a long, long way since Michael Scott and he looks tremendous in Beautiful Boy.
