Make sure you avoid taking one of the unlicensed, illegal taxis that operate at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. You can recognize licensed taxis by their roof lights displaying the name of their operator and their blue number plates. Follow the signs and floor stickers in the terminal to proceed to the official taxi rank. Taxis at this rank use taxi meters. The drivers accept credit cards and will give you a printed receipt. Please don’t take a taxi offered by people sometimes wearing fluoresced jackets and approaching you.

Public transportation ticket information

Where can you travel: With all GVB trams, (night) buses and metros in Amsterdam, , Duivendrecht, , Schiphol and Weesp.

Note: These tickets are only valid in GVB metros, trams, and buses. Thus, these are not valid in the regional buses of Connexxion and EBS or on the train.

When can you travel: All day and all night. For example, if you opt for a 2-day ticket, you can travel 48 hours from the first check-in.
