On April 8th, we celebrated the Twins Home opener day with great atmosphere in the main dining room including friends and a traditional G baseball fare. The Minnesota Twins won against the Seattle Mariners 10-2. The first official game of baseball started back in June of 1846 in Hoboken, New Jersey. As for the Minnesota Twins, the president of the Washington Senators, Calvin Griffith, made the decision to move his club to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, the birth of the “Minnesota Twins” named after Twin Cities. The Griffith organization had operated the team in our nation’s capitol ever since the immortal Clark Griffith took over as manager of the club in 1912.
