Implementation Status Overview Project implementation and progress toward PDO achievements keep moving forward. Public Disclosure Copy Significant progress was made in IT Enabled Service Industry development. The number of ICT SMEs registered in the Ghana Association of Software and IT Services Companies (GASSCOM) has reached over 40 companies, jumped from 5 in 2006. The number of jobs has increased from 2200 to 5000. Continuous reduction in the wholesale bandwidth makes the BPO/ITES industry more competitive and attractive.

Progress on eGovt PPP implementation for electronic applications for the Revenue Agencies in Ghana is moving forward. Private Partner completed: (i) the training on IT literacy and office applications for over 1500 Ghana Revenue Authority staff; (ii) approximately 95% of Business Registration Specifications (BRS). The Government completed the construction of an interim data center.
