Did you Know?

The baseball world lost one of its most recognizable voices in July of this year. Public Address Announcer Bob Sheppard passed away following a lengthy illness. Sheppard was the iconic voice that welcomed fans to the house that Ruth built for 56 years! He started work in 1951 when the lineups of the game between Boston and the Yankees featured greats such as Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra, Mickey Mantle, and Ted Williams. He announced an amazing 4500 Yankees games until he retired unwillingly in 2007. He passed away at the age of 99!
