Get Players Measurables - FIELD 6 Home to First running times X 2. Home to Home running times X 1. Pop times for catchers X 3. OH throw speed for everyone X 2.

2:45-2:55 FIELD 7 Meet with everyone on tryout agenda and set tone for workout.

2:55-3:45 FIELD 7 Work Infield from infield positions

FIELD 6 NON-Infielders – clock measurables.

3:45-4:05 FIELD 7 Separate Infielders to work a second round of infield.

FIELD 6 Players not asked to stay on 7 go to 6 to clock measurables. Warm up for Hitting on nets between 10 and 11

4:05-4:45 FIELD 8 Work Double Outfield / Outfield Do or Dies to Home

FIELD 6 NON- Outfielders Warm Up for Hitting on nets between 10 and 11 Finish any measurables that have not been completed.

4:45-6:15 FIELD 7 Hitting front toss (x2 ) from behind nets (2 x 1 x 10)

6:15-6:30 Adjourn Tryout with Thank You’s and Information for Callbacks

Double Infield: Batter on the 3rd base line with a catcher Batter on the 1st base line with a catcher

Batter on 3rd base line hits 3 balls consecutively to Primary Position 1 – Get One at 1st Base 2 – Turn two --- 5-4-3 / 6-4-3 / 4-6-3 / 3-6-4 3 – Throw home for a tag

While this is happening: 1st base line hits a ball to non-primary positions - One each after throw from Primary While other hits to 3B SS 2B 1B to 2B to 2B to SS to SS Hit to SS to 3B to 3B to 3B Hit to 1B to 1B to 1B to 2B

During Second Round with Additional Players – infield hitter Evaluate moving to forehand, backhand, on the , charging, high hoppers etc…

Double Outfield: Batter on the 3rd base line Batter on the 1st base line

Batter on 3rd base line hits a ball to LF throw to 2B Batter on 1st base line hits a ball to CF throw to 3B Batter on 3rd base line hits a ball to CF throw to 3B Batter on 1st base line hits a ball to RF throw to 2B Repeat until entirety of Corner OF has 4 Opportunities One High Pop - One to Fielder’s left - One to Fielder’s Right - A Line Drive - A Grounder

Finish with two throws to Home Plate on Balls hit to each Fielder. One “Sac” Fly and the last a Do or Die Grounder

If any time remains we can ask a few to stay and hit some additional balls to gaps etc… Evaluate judging ball, getting behind ball, moving

Registration All players complete player registration form. Folks checking in players need to place registration sheets in order by number and separate by age group on individual clip boards. These will go to the field where we are measuring players speed and arm strength.

Players are assigned a tryout number. Players attach tryout bib on front jersey and write that number on their registration form.

Parents/Guardians fill out registration sheet with contact information, email, cell number.

Field 6 Players Measurables FIELD/GEAR SETUP On this field we will get every players measurables and recorded Need 3-5 coaches Stopwatches, Radar Guns, Two coolers with on their registration form. Its very important to have coaches here water, Need bases in on this field working together to gather accurate information. Split kids into 2 groups and organize them by number to make it 1 screen/net setup in right field. Need a flow better. The last group to do will be catchers and their pop bucket of 11" and 12" balls. Catchers can times. throw into a NET at second base. 84’ 4” Need 2 screens setup, one at second base for catchers pop-time and one in OF to gun over hand throw One coach will be assigned to write players scores on their registration sheets. Need Home-1st, Over Hand Speed, Pop- Times

Field 5 Pitching Evaluations

Need 1 bucket of 11" balls Need 1 bucket of 12" balls 4 pitching stations setup on field with home plate setup 5' away from 3B Need 4 stake down pitching rubbers line and pitching rubbers setup at 10U distance of 35'. When we switch hammer to install pitching rubbers to 12U distance of 40' we just move home plates to 3B line. Need 4 throw down home plates tape measure

Pitchers and catchers get evaluated at each station and when completed 4 Pitching Lanes - Pitchers move through 4 either go to field 5 to get measurables or head out to warmup area to lanes throwing 15 pitches at each station or prepare for rest of tryout. until coaches have fully evaluated them. Coaches will pick one of the 4 pitching lanes to Catchers are getting evaluated also. Please have a coach from each team evaluate all the pitchers. This allows each

evaluating pitchers and catchers. coach to see all the pitchers as they move through the lanes. The pitchers will throw at all 4 pitching lanes so all coaches can evaluate them. Pitchers should throw no more than 15 pitches at each lane. Coaches evaluate, poise, spin, location and speed. The catchers should catch like game time situations. Watch mechanics on framing, how they look blocking and how they manage/support their pitchers.

Infield Need at least 1 coach at each infield position keeping it flowing and yelling out numbers. Need 2 coaches to Evaluations hit, flyballs and keep flow of tryouts. 2 coaches are hitting. Catchers catching in full gear Format

Field 7 - Infield 12U/10U Need at least 4 buckets 12" & 11" Need a Atec/BowNet in foul territory on both sides. Need 1 pitching screen for hitting Need 2 empty buckets at each base.
